You don't have to have gas with them, the only thing required is a contract or whatever terminology they use, which you can choose as floating rate (RRO) or fixed, credit card payment is good then.
Yea I should have said gas and/or electric. Any “residential energy plan” as they call it. If you have either one of those with enmax, they let you pay your entire bill (including water/sewer/waste) with cc.

Yea it's stupid. Is Enmax priced the same as Atco for gas? Or do they do some sort of fuckery to make up that difference for allowing CC?.
Well, I'm paying 3c/kWh and 3c/GJ, so yeah, I'd say Enmax charges more.

    3c/GJ?

Wow good for you, those poor bastards at Atco having to source gas for that...

Didnt read back on the thread but thought Nenshi's letter was hilarious.

It states an avg. increase of $11 a month in the letter, on the backside it shows avg assessed value of $455.... leading me to believe that avg is based on the assessed value.

Yet, my home is not far off assessed and my prop tax increased by 3x of the avg increase...

Again, that's the difference between logging in (secure access) versus not (public access)

Hai guise! When logging in with "myid" is there somewhere to search teh actual dollar amounts of property tax for previous years? I have the paper copies back to 2012 for all by 2019, and it's bugging me. Easy to get assessed value, but actual tax paid . . . .?

Answering my own question, HonestDoor has actual property tax for this year and last year for public viewing. Easy peasy.

Not that anyone really cares, but I thought I'd show my actual year over year property tax changes.

Up 24% since 2012 year. Assessed house value up 1% in that time.

Almost exactly the same for me, assessed value up by 6% and taxes up by 20.4%.

That letter from Nenshi that accompanied the property tax bill made my blood boil. Prick could have just included a trial sized KY Jelly packet in the envelope to accomplish the same message.
