It wasn't discernable. Plane was 100% full though, so that's a lot of people stealing the fresh air.

I can eat more hot wings than you.
I'm looking at their Dublin flights, and there is only a $500 difference between premium economy and a business class pod - seems like a no-brainer to me if you're going to be paying 3 times the price of standard economy anyway. I imagine it's similar for Gatwick.
I've noticed nothing special about the 787 (bleedless) vs bleed aircraft in terms of air quality. I'm sure the higher humidity and lower cabin pressure altitude does help in ways not always obvious though.
Unless it's really bad, I don't think anyone is really going to actively notice air quality one way or the other. What I do notice is quite a significant difference in how I feel after a flight on the 787 though - definitely less dry, less tired, and less jet lagged. Seats are way better than most older planes and even ~13hr in economy was very reasonable (for me). The most noticeable thing though IMO is how quiet it is which makes it easier to sleep and probably contributes to feeling more rested after. I go out of my way to get on that aircraft every time I go somewhere and have so far been on it about 10 times. I'd really like to try the new Airbus planes but most of their airlines I end up booking with are North American and predominately Boeing. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. This is why I ask. Apparently the air is not noticeable via breathing but the toll of the flight is much less and you apparently feel way better. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I felt great after both of my flights to and from London in the fall. Dreamliner was great.
I took a Max-8 to Hawaii last Christmas before the bans and it was also great, very similar to the 787.

Need some Dreamliner help.
Off to Puerto Vallarta on the DL on saturday, looked up my seats and they are right in front of the bathroom (row 24) Are we better off to go back to row 34 or is front of the bathroom not that shitty? Nothing else with 4 seats any further up unfortunately.. I typically go as far forward as possible, but since we booked on credits this is where we ended up.
I'd rather be further away from the bathroom. If there's a constant flow of people or a line up to use the bathroom, they will be watching Netflix or Pornhub with you. Plus who wants to hear people shitting for an entire long haul flight?
I like what you've done here. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
YYC to PVR is only 4hrs... I can see the flight home having the potential for a few more upset stomachs. ugh.
If you need 4 in a row, then make that the priority over how far forward you are. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
There are only 9 unsold seats on that flight. Bathrooms are going to be busy with 307 other passengers that aren't in your family of 4. It will likely sell out by Friday.

There are 54 seats available from what I can see in available options for my flight.. but I get the point. Im getting away from the shitter.
That just means 54 people haven't selected a seat or don't have the ability and will be assigned a seat at check-in.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Always pick seats next to the wings as it’s the strongest section of any airliner, however you are also sitting on thousands of litres of highly flammable jet fuel. Toilet odours are the least of my concern when flying.
I always avoid being in a seat right in front of the back or bathrooms as some
flights those seats don’t recline. I don’t think the Dreamliner is like that but I think the max 8 in the last row is. So I just try and avoid them always to be safe.
Going further back in the 787-9 isn’t a big deal for turbulence as it’s a huge plane. Only downside imo is its longer to disembark
