I had the pasta too. I shoulda ordered the chicken.
The food on the Delta flight from Minneapolis to London was waaay better.
I bought a chocolate croissant and a ham and cheese banquette as I knew I was going to starve on AC.
Dude. I took the Delta flight from MSP to LHR. The Tikka Masala was great AND! they served ice cream.

ANyone know if KLM has the Dreamliner too? I took AMS to YYC and it was definitely a newer plane. Very roomy especially on the tail.

I have the new Sony ANC headphones, so I dont notice sound differences on planes too much.

My bigger issue is with loud talkers on planes. I find it very bizarre when people are willing to have complete strangers hear a whole conversation.
This rattles me anywhere not just on a plane lol

MSP to LHR was a decent flight.

Dont any of you find the Dreamliner Economy seats too narrow?

I'm a pretty normal sized person (5'10" 165-170lbs) but I have plenty of room in a Dreamliner seat, I'm not up against the arm rests or anything. At least the two variants I have been on this has been the case.

Depends on what day of the week you are flying. It used to be exclusive to the a330, but I see the Dreamliner every other day now.

We just booked the Dreamliner direct from Calgary into London and direct home from Paris in July. Paid for the upgrade upfront to premium economy and will bump up to business class at the airport if seats are available. It usually is just another $600 or so if you do it at the airport for unsold seats where if you pre-booked business class it is a helluva lot more than that! Even if no business class is available, we still have premium economy secured so no big deal.

Dreamliner premium economy is pretty great, way more civilized way to travel.

Wait. What was the point of this thread again?

Westjet Companion Voucher works on Premium Economy but not on Dreamliner First Class...

I guess it's possible to book Premium Econ using Voucher then upgrade at Airport.. that would be such a sweet deal..

Unless you have access to magic fares, It's practically the same price for premium and business...

When I looked at WJ business to Paris it was way more than $1350 - that price is amazing.

Not too bad at all. My "semi more leg room" economy seats were under $900 all in round trip. $700 for basic economy on the dreamliner. From what everyone here is saying about the plane, seems like a good deal.

Also, you get fresh air rather than recycled, cabin altitude is a lot lower, humidity is higher, and it's about 40% quieter than other planes. I actively seek them out anytime I need to fly.
The air inside the pressure vessel is NOT 100% fresh air, this is true for most ships out there. Not knowing the specifics, but the recycled content is likely in the 90-95% range, which is standard for most airlines.

What Boeing has done is eliminate the potential for TCP and other engine-related toxins, to enter the pressure vessel.

The difference is they pump in actual fresh air from outside, rather than bleed air from the engine compressors like most other planes. There is some evidence that the engine bleed air contains harmful compounds.

That's not very common to see that price. Usually there is a $500-$700 difference between the premium and business class.

Yes, you get more leg room, i am not even that tall and I felt the difference.

I am westjet platinum so I got them for free, I think it was $70 each way on our flight to Paris if we were to pay, I would pay it!

I think when we booked Paris (Westjet), it was ~$380+ tax (one way) for Econ, $1200 for Premium, and $2000 for Business.
