Last time i was there, 3 years ago, you could bring full on coolers of beer as long as they technically could fit under the seat of your chair. Load up in advance.

When i was there its was still 90% cash only. So if you're a guy that wants a souvenir then bring a bunch of cash with you.

Enjoy the people watching it's some of the best i have ever witnessed.

I have enjoyed the Nascar crowd in more civilized placed like Phoenix and Vegas, cannot wait to see Alabama.

How much if a gong show is getting to and from the track?

We rented a 7 passenger van, parked in basically a grassy field. The walk from the van to the track was pretty big. Traffic sucks going in and out. Allow at least 1 to 1.5 hours to get out of there. Getting in wasn't as bad because some people camp at the track in the days leading up to the race.

Is that Atlanta race any good? More exciting on a shorter track maybe? I'd take reviews of that too.

Talladega is a restrictor plate race on one of NASCAR's longest tracks, Atlanta is not a restrictor plate track but Atlanta is a mile and a half track which tend to produce somewhat more blah racing. Talladega will be the better race fan experiance by far, Atlanta will provide the fastest racing.

It's too bad that either Bristol or Martinsville weren't newer to where you'll be, short tracks where tempers run high - Bristol is like a Roman coliseum.

    Talladega banking...

Bristol baby, yeah, this is the same size oval (half mile) as what we had here in Calgary at Race City...

I mostly go for the people watching. I'm not actually a Nascar fan. I'm a fan of Nascar fans.

Talladega for sure then, their infield activities are apparently quite something plus you could be seated behind something like this for the whole race...

I'm not sure there is enough beer to make sitting behind that palatable.

Talladega would be a better spectacle I think.

I always liked the Atlanta races, but with how they repave and reconfigure everything lately I don't remember if the races I liked were recent or not.

Talladega, should be good for at least one big one, from last year's race...

Only ever been to one NASCAR race and it was in Phoenix... I was really quite impressed at the event they put on! We had a blast! Definitely didn’t hurt that the wife and I were watching it from Goodyears corporate suite fully catered with free food and booze... Haha!

Talledega is booked. Working around some other schedules, but got it all set up. Pretty pumped.

Yah I went to both races there last year in a suite. Great time!

Would I go if I had regular seats? Probably zero chance.

Well, 2 years later we are back trying to make this happen. Don't really want anyones input any more, but wanted to have a place to cry if it gets shut down again.

Talladega was good. I am still hungover. A+ trip, would recommend. I did not take many photos.

That looks like a great time, any tips now that you're a NASCAR pro?
