Default I need to scan a 1000 page document

I'm not sure what my home scanner can do, but it would suck. What's the best way to get this scanned?

I think most office 4 in 1 can scan pretty damn quick, i scan 50+ pages daily and it takes mins. Find someone that can help you and put it on a USB?

I jut want to do it in one batch, though.

Like a big top load scanner that just rips through it.

Head to your local Staples printing center?

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

Professional equipment is the right way to do this. Might be a nasty large file size however. Find someone with one of the big multifunction copiers at work and scan to USB?

Can your home scanner do it. Yes, mine allowed me to merge a bunch read through my document feeder in 25pg batches. However that’s going to be a very large PDF and a good chance of home scanning software screwing it up.

+1 for paying a print shop.

Another thing that might work is that I assume you have a pdf original and you are trying to scan in several signature pages or something mixed in or something? Maybe just scan the signature pages and use acrobat or soemthing to merge them into the original?

But print shop is definitely your best bet here. Even scanning in the files assuming no hiccups is going to take forever.

For 1000 pages I would take it to a copy place. Think of the scanner feed jams
    Machining, Fabricating, Welding etc.

Pretty sure this doesn't exist, they will do it in batches and combine or maybe not depending how motivated the minimum wage worker feels that day. I've done several hundred on our Xerox where it exceeded the ADF tray capacity so I just added manually and that worked fine, but not sure if I'd attempt 1000 in one shot as I'd be too scared of jams and make batches. Hit up @tonytiger55 's offer, he'll probably do a better job.

A professional top load all in ones at most offices can do it. I used to have to scan 500+ pages and the all in one top load can do it at my office , you just have to feed it 200-300 pages at a time as the top load cant hold 1000 pages. The file size will be quite large if you need high quality. 1000 pages would take about a half hour or so. The feed will be quick, but the final compiling takes quite a while.

Purely out of curiosity, how much would a print shop charge to do something like it.

At work we do this every month for a bi-annual heavy inspection of aircraft.

Always need to do batches and then combine them in Adobe acrobat
