Two people will die every hour at current rate, Ontario Premier Ford says
    https://nationalpost.com/news/canada...canada-ontario

Public health officials in Ontario say between 3,000 and 15,000 could die in the province even with public health measures in place.

Current measures show the province anticipates 1,600 deaths by the end of the month with current public heath measures.

The 3,000 to 15,000 range depends on the actions of Ontarians.
Soooo in the worst case, 15k in a province of 14.57million is 0.001% by end of the month. I get paid even if I stay home, however people who are going to be close to bankruptcy, home loss, business loss will start to lose their patience very quickly.

Articles from two and four years ago. Calling white people racist is easy because they don’t really care and go about their day. When you call it the Chinaflu you are attacking the CCP, not the Chinese people.

Here is one from a day ago from an Asian-American. I guess she is also racist eh.

    https://www.sltrib.com/opinion/comme...loresca-it-is/

Racism happens when you don't feel like you share the same identity, it has nothing to do with skin colour. People of European descent were "racist" against other people of Euro decent for centuries, despite all of them having fair skin and often sharing blonde hair and other traits. Language and culture frequently separated people who geographically shared a region no larger than Texas. Race is more than skin colour for that matter, if everyone on Earth was white there would still be friction between competing groups. People like pheoxs call others racist because they don't understand what that word means, plus its just easy to label someone racist because that's what Liberals are taught to do. If you yell loud enough as a group, the right just eventually gives up.
Really? You're going to quote another extreme right wing nut. The same company also released this article
    https://www.sltrib.com/news/politics...maker-accused/
"“Kim, this tweet is both racist and disgusting,” wrote Troy Williams, executive director of Equality Utah. “Don’t pander to the lowest xenophobe to gain a vote. You are better than this. True leaders rise to unite humanity, not further divide.”"

It's been acknowledged by the WHO and they've made changes because it does cause discrimination

    It's no Airstream.
Airstreams are terrific travel trailers, but honestly kind of suck for camping.

What do you recommend for an aspiring Aspenite to go camping in?

Dude, go get fucked. And those people that "lose patience very quickly" because ONLY 15k people died can go get fucked too.

Equating a shitty but solvable economic problem to the value of people's lives is a piece of shit thing to do.

For those married to frontline covid workers, are you still sleeping with your partner? Living in the same house?

Curious what other people are doing. My wife ensures me she is safe coming home after treating covid patients as she takes her PPE precautions seriously. Still doesn’t help me sleep well at night... ha ha
My wife is pregnant and they told her she has to do Covid testing... she asked for modified duties, her boss’s and coworkers supported her but AHS said too bad, we provide training and PPE get to work.. I was fucking chapped, thankfully her wonderful co workers swapped her a bunch of shifts so she doesn’t have to. I’m “high risk” with asthma too, so that’s sketchy haha..

Fuck AHS.. if she wasn’t pregnant it wouldn’t be as big of a deal. I was pretty fucking angry earlier this week haha..

So people will survive but they will be fucked financially, destroying their self-worth, esteem and mental health. But they are alive! Your job, house, savings are gone but at least everything else is rosy.

It’s fascinating to see people’s responses, name calling, accusations of racism etc. These are emotional responses typical of what’s happening out in the world today. No rational thoughts, if I don’t agree with you, you are a racist, piece of shit and told to get fucked. How have we evolved....

    You belong on r/iamverysmart.

You are again taking a temporary and solvable problem and equating it to something that is both much more severe and not permanent. You can fill your responses with as much hyperbole as you want; it doesn't change that it boils down to you believing that money and the economy are worth more than health and life.

So yea, I'll tell you to get fucked and call you a piece of shit because that's what you should do and that's what you are. Words and actions have consequences mate.

We have evolved so much that we have so easily put a price on people's lives. Well...you have. Not I. I am perfectly content splashing around in my tub.

I believe what hes advocating is that health and life are going to be much worse affected now in the next 6-12 months, given the completely over the top response (shutting down the entire global economy) - than the health and life that we have 'saved' here with these strange, draconian and orwellian (in many cases) actions by panicked governments.

Doing nothing is not a good idea, but neither is (in Canada) doing what we've done here.

Again, as many have stated - there needs to be a middle ground, which - as we can see - is immediately ridiculed by those people, mainly, who have fallen for the binary/fear narrative of the main stream media.
