Keep those insults coming you sound smrt.

I wish I lived in your bubble of sunshine and rainbows, believing everything the band of cuckoos in Ottawa tell you. We have arguably the worst 'ummm uhhh err ummm uhhhh merci' leadership in the history of this country and people like you trust they will right the ship. Good luck.

    [Tin foil hat]

Maybe once this flared up in China, they purposefully sent infected citizens to other nations?

    1. Strain adversary health care infrastructure and military resources
    2. Damage foreign economies
    3. Create panic
    4. Sell needed goods to enemies and turn a profit.

When you think of it, China just costed Canada $100+ billion dollars without firing a bullet. Our drama teacher admires their communism.

    /Tinfoilhat

Oh yeah, China just re-opened its wet markets, the source of this flu, SARS and god knows what else. It's just a piece of shit country all around.
    1. My leadership isn't perfect but it's doing a good enough job given the circumstances. I agree that short term isolation and gradual reopening of the economy is the pragmatic move, even though I don't like it and have personally experienced more than $60k in revenue loss.
    2. The above doesn't mean the government is free of criticism, but the criticism should be fair and based on something. I've yet to read anything substantiating in your... "arguments".
    3. Spreading hyperbolic bullshit ("our drama teacher admires their communism") is a 100% non-helpful exercise that only vapid and idiotic people would pander to. It's not at all constructive and does nothing to address the issue. It's the type of shit people that want to sound smart would say, but really you just sound dogmatic and standoffish. You run your mouth to me about what working with me must be like, yet fail to address your own contrarianism or even acknowledge the holier than thou attitude that accompanies the bullshit you spew.
    4. Manufacturing conspiracy theories is really something else. Good for you.
    5. I agree that the Chinese government is a piece of shit and that they have a culture problem around wet markets that they owe it to the world to fix.

suicide rates increase by about 1 per 100,000 population for every 1% increase in unemployment.

That means Canada, with a population of some 40 million, would see 400 extra people dead as a result for each 1% increase.

Given that we saw a sudden increase of 2-3% in one week - we have now some (or will have) ~1000 extra dead people in Canada thanks to this - and weve not even begun to unravel the economy.

Way more than actual c19 deaths.

Trudeau and his dolts dont give a fuck about this.

I would be darth vaderly disappointed if you haven't already written or tweeted your MLA, MP, Premier and PM about this. Make a difference man!

    1. 'Good enough' is a great attitude to have when millions of people are out of work and applying for IE. I would hate to be in Alberta right now.
    2. Government fucked this up, they fucked it up real good. "Virus's don't have passports" quickly changed to "Close the borders and distance yourself 2m". What's next, we are all going to be mandated masks in public when there is a massive shortage?
    3. Our elected officials are getting paid a lot of money and will get really cushy pensions regardless of the outcome. Meanwhile the rest of Canada can go fuck themselves. Trudeau has done absolutely nothing that resembles any sort of leadership that this country needs, his weakness when dealing with international affairs is evident. I hope once the dust settles him and his diversity neutral cabinet fades away into memory forever.

So you're thinking that there are other options that some of the smartest people in the world did not pursue because... why?
Possibly because of the UN's socialist 2030 Agenda. They have now called for the creation of a fund of double digit proportions of global GDP, which is in the trillions USD. This is what they've been wanting for quite some time.

"The report calls for a large-scale, coordinated and comprehensive multilateral response amounting to at least 10 percent of global GDP....

To that end, the Secretary-General has established a dedicated COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund to support efforts in low- and middle-income countries....

From stronger health systems and fewer people living in extreme poverty to achieving gender equality and taking climate action for a healthy planet, the report gives hope that lessons from this human crisis can build more just and resilient societies and deliver on the promise of the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals."

Personally, I am really curious as to what, exactly, a COVID-19 fund has to do with "achieving gender equality and taking climate action." I try and avoid any conspiracy theory type stuff, but sometimes things really seem to point in a certain direction.

This is from this UN press release: https://reliefweb.int/sites/reliefwe..._2020_10am.pdf

The report mentioned is titled, "Shared responsibility, global solidarity: Responding to the socio-economic impacts of COVID-19," found here:

Damn lame stream media, fear mongering to push their agenda! Let’s just hope that people remember this and treat them like an enemy of the people!

Also, did you know this is actually a secret plot by the UN to install homocommunism?!

Being wary of government attempts to use the Covid19 crisis as an excuse to cram through a bunch of unrelated pork spending and legislation doesn't make someone conspiracy theorist. It's something we should all be doing as citizens. Look at what the Liberals already tried to sneak into the stimulus package.

The estimated delivery even for items that qualify for prime, has changed quite a bit over the last week. It's not everything, just some things. I wonder if it's stuff that was in the warehouses where workers tested positive for Covid-19 maybe? It's not everything. My kids modelling clay is one day shipping, but these electronics are 1 month.
Well, even some of the things that are "low priority" and showing 30 days shipping are getting delivered nice and quick. Had something that was estimating 30 day, ordered Thursday, delivered today. I'm guessing the local warehouses aren't overwhelmed currently.

It not just the fliberals either - the Scheer cons are being complicit as well.

At no time will the government rescind any new/temporary powers - they will choose to extend these indefinitely.

What to look for from the governments in the next 6-12 months:

    - AB PST (during a depression - dumbest idea ever)
    - Federal 'health tax' of some kind (it wont be called a tax) - same idea as the airport 'security tax' that was enacted immediately after 9/11 to provide security theater. This money went DIRECTLY into general revenue - and not to the airports (only a portion).

They really, really want to destroy the economy. WHy - is the bigger question - and would go into, god forbid, asking questions.

I want someone to tell me where to go to learn all these things that Revelations is preaching. Westmount won't return my calls so I need a backup elementary school.

Despite your view of Trump, he is doing a better job of looking after his own.

    https://www.theglobeandmail.com/cana...al-goods-into/

“Trudeau warns” How dare someone take care of their own country! Trump needs to learn from Canada, give away all your critical supplies to other countries, and then wait for other different countries to restock you.

The links are straight to UN documents. Read them and the 2030 Agenda, which you can also get from the UN site.

Also, straight out of the report:

"WHO estimated that it will require 100 billion USD over the next 5 years to prevent and prepare for the next pandemic in 67 low and middle income countries and to build an interconnected Global Health Emergency System for data, workforce and supplies. Similarly, countries must increase spending on primary healthcare by at least 1 per cent of their gross domestic product if the world is to close glaring coverage gaps and meet health targets agreed in 2015. It must be done.

This crisis has brought home the precarious nature of today’s economy for so many people. Billions of people are either not benefitting from the global economy – the 700 million in extreme poverty; the 1.3 billion without access to basic needs – or not receiving their fair share.

The crisis should reaffirm our resolve to fight inequality in all its forms and manifestations. Since the last global financial crisis, the world has witnessed income inequality rising faster than before. It is vital to work as aggressively after this crisis, not just to shore up the incomes and interests of the vulnerable and poor, but to do everything possible to end poverty and reduce inequalities." (p. 22).

So, WHO, which spread the initial misinformation from China, in part allowing the virus to spread, requires 100 billion USD. And, again, the need for equality is mentioned.

This really looks like a socialist agenda that isn't at all concerned with the virus, but is using the pandemic to "spread the wealth" and push their 2030 Agenda.

Everything they are proposing is global, and all controlled by them.

    Good points.

    Edited to add:

"China was appointed on Wednesday to a United Nations Human Rights Council panel where it will play a key role in picking the world body’s human rights investigators — including global monitors on freedom of speech, health, enforced disappearances, and arbitrary detention — in a move that has sparked protest by international human rights activists."

    https://unwatch.org/china-joins-u-n-...ary-detention/

Does anyone else find it interesting that China, where the virus started and who gave out false information which allowed the virus to spread, suddenly gets a seat for a position which they have zero business being in?
