Well - going to get tested today and required to isolate for 14 days. Someone I share an office and am in direct contact with just tested positive this morning. She sounds like she is dying - vomiting, huge migraine, weakness, short of breath. 30 year old female with no other conditions.

Is there a point to getting tested this early? Might get a false negative with it being so soon.

If I bring a hammer, can I say I’m just doing maintenance repairs at their house?

    Yup. Lots of loopholes.

But then it’s a workplace and you need to wear a mask lol

Anyone who wants a loophole can find one. That's always going to be true. And anyone who wants to do thier best can do that as well.

    I posted a clear summary.

HR directed me to get tested. Last time I worked with the positive person was 4 days ago

I am shocked my work hasn't has a bunch of positive cases. Buncha filthy beasts there. I was practicing physical distancing with those animals before it was cool. Oh yeah, got word most of them are "physically required in the workplace" still. Nice.

So does this mean what we have been doing for the previous couple weeks has been working and this latest round of seclusion is not necessary?
Yes, it looks fairly certain that the last restrictions had an effect as the new case curve has been flattened. The gov announced on Nov 24 that those restrictions would last for 3 weeks than be re-evaluated. Following that plan through would have given us a better indication how much more of a reduction in cases we would have seen, with those specific restrictions. Waiting those 3 weeks was the sensible and reasonable thing to do.

Instead it was fear and anxiety that led the discussion, largely from the public sector, NDP (and most individuals on the left), and the mainstream press.

Actually they are cancelled. Because our program uses hotel pools and hotel pools can’t be open under new restrictions

Sorry if this has been covered but I’m a bit confused...

Heading home to Calgary for Christmas, going to do turkey at home with the wife... but can we visit our parents from the sidewalk or is this considered an outside gathering??
If you divorce your wife you and your soon-to-be exwife can meet your parents and ex-in laws, respectively.

Basically. I think it’s $50 an hour however when the first round of pool cancellations came in much they refunded all the outstanding classes. After that they changed the policy to no more refunds.

Haha, I actually went to the hospital once after a leg day.
Thought it might be a stroke.
Turned out it was an optical migraine. Never had one before or again.

You don’t need to divorce her, just get her her own place.

My house is on 2 lots, I think I’m going to declare that I live on one and my wife lives on the other.

Jordan said it best on FB, just put your house on your market and just do a showing to your parents. Much less paper work than a divorce.
