You have the same mindset as the majority of the sheltered rural populace does. You don't see it the same as in the cities, when your people get acutely ill, they go to the big bad city, your hospital is largely unaffected. You guys forget that you come to the city to shop. You come to the city to get medical procedures. You come to the city when you get acutely ill. Your bubble might not seem affected, but in the overall it absolutely is.
You make some wild assumptions, but go on. I’m happy sitting back in my so-called sheltered town and watching rats nests like Toronto burn.

Asymptomatic spread is likely GROSSLY overexaggerated. The simple answer is that mildly sick people go about their lives with covid and spread it, just like the flu.
I'm sorry, you're going to need to back that up with some data, not just "your opinion", because that frankly doesn't carry much weight

Sending thoughts and prayers overnight via airmail.

Let’s see if provinces hire more staff and invest in healthcare for an ageing, unhealthy population. Instead they’ll likely make cuts to nurses to save money and we will be back into the same situation come next pandemic. Not being prepared is not an excuse.

Provide a source that clearly states there is direct proof of asymptomatic spread with control variables in place.

Because the ship sailed a long time ago on the "professionals" and governments opinions carrying any weight.

Staged withdrawals of life-support from people with low chances of survival are not part of a 32-page emergency triage protocol that would be enacted should Ontario ICU’s become saturated.

“Only the provincial government can take the steps necessary to enable physicians to withdraw life-sustaining treatment without consent” in order to give that care to someone with better prospects, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario said in a notice to physicians last week.
Really? Seems like that woupd be important in a mass victim triage system, but the fuck do I know?

A lot of spread data is flawed IMO because people are generally lying pieces of shit who won't admit when they didn't follow the recommendations.

Just look at Grandpa in Ontario who travelled to Pakistan, to deal with a rental tenant of all things, then returned to Canada stayed at a Covid hotel, and still got infected and spread it to everyone in his family. Yet they proudly claim they "did everything right" to every news source they can.

Got a feeling Ontario is getting wrecked by 617. Probably a variant they are not looking for.

Look at the speed of the fucker when you DGAF.

    Interesting research:

'The research data available online comes from wastewater collected from three City of Calgary wastewater plants.

The researchers have been able to combine data from the three plants into a single number that represents the whole city, and roughly predict future COVID case counts with an algorithm.

“What we’re finding in wastewater with the peaks is (they suggest) what’s going to happen six days from now,” he said.

“Tracing things over time — using this algorithm — our ability to predict things over a 95 per cent confidence interval is very strong, six days later.”

He said since March, some areas of the city have shown more increase than others, but all locations are finding more of the virus than in February.

“We’re forecasting with a grain of salt but certainly the persistent, consistent increase of SARS-CoV-2 is concerning, and the fact that what we’re seeing now is surpassing what we saw in Wave 2 is particularly concerning,” said Parkins.'

And lots of data, from the link in the article:

I don't need shit to tell me. The amount of alerts my co-workers get from CBE for their teenage kids was a good enough sign.

Anyway. Both Calgary School boards switched to online starting next Monday for Grade 7-12. Too many infections at school and they ran out of subs.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calga...hool-1.5987965

Infection of 60- is now 2.5-3x rate of 60+. Show signs that vaccination is working but not quick enough to get to everyone.

The declining rate in the old fuckers is excellent news and a strong thumbs up from me.

If you haven't booked a site already, I'd say you likely won't get one anyway.

In regards to BC Parks, there's priority reservations for BC residents until July 7. By that point good luck finding an opening for the rest of the year, on top of any other restrictions they might put in place.

Wait til some asshole thinks same rule applies on private campground.

Heard they may be pushing indoor dining ban BC wide til May long. It really depends if the cases comes down or not.
