everyone was worried about this last year and it never happened. Not sure why they'd change it this year. I'm headed to terrace next week so.... hope that doesnt change

Only someone with very limited understanding of how closely integrated the provincial economies are would argue for “closing provincial borders”. It’s practically impossible without interfering with the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of people and creating billions of unnecessary spending. It’s all political theatre, and you would know that because only one provincial border appears “problematic” and is constantly in the media’s crosshairs.

When this was first floated during the ski season, it was shocking to see the amount of contempt for Albertans from anyone in BC. I knew that attitude existed I just didn’t know how prevalent it was. People willing to destroy local businesses and shut down their town ski resorts (ie. KH, Pano, Revy, Fernie because all of those are completely unsustainable purely based on local traffic) just to "keep red plates out!". All the while these same issues existed in Whistler/Big White, but no-one seemed to care because you couldn't blame it on AB.
