Hinshaw telling people they need to start learning to live without government restrictions and make their own choices
I fully support this. Now that there's no shortage of vaccine, no problem with health-care capacity. Open it up, let 'er rip, and let's get as many of us back to normal as possible as fast as possible. I suggest we go to twice-weekly updates from Dena/Jason .

Also, my relatives in ON basically say our AHS experience here (service, vaccine, testing) is far superior to GTA. That may explain why they don't have end dates on their plan.
2 km long lineups in Ontario. Good jorb Ontario health officials.

My brother is scheduled for his second dose in late sept, he lives in Ottawa. If he lived in sask he would already be eligible. Tell me again why Ontario is so great?

No media update = less selective hearing from media = less fear mongering = people start to move on with their lives = everybody's going to get laid?!?!?

    Hinshaw today TLDW:

    - Be kind
    - Get Vaccinated and double penetrated ASAP
    - Reporting period slows down
    - Don't read into cases, keep an eye on severe outcomes.
    - Wait til you are 2 weeks after 2nd dose before taking your mask off and do your own risk assessment.
    - Vaccine Passport is not AB gov's problem. Go talk to Feds. Paper you got and vaccination data in MyHealth are both legit.
    - Data model on severe outcome is extremely low going forward, local outbreak still expected but AHS as a whole is good.
    - Municipalities can do whatever they want, not her problem.

I keep getting ads for durex with the slogan “do it for Canada”, so I think you’re onto something here

    Interesting article on Chinese vaccines:

    https://www.nytimes.com/2021/06/22/b...-outbreak.html

Imagine if we didn't get fucked by China and we ended up all in with their vaccine.

You can go to a packed nightclub unmasked come July 1 but you need to mask up for a taxi or ride share. Lol.

I think we would have got Convidecia by CanSino which should be similar to J&J one shot but is a distance 3rd in the race among Chinese vax.

The Chinese had the data. They have been saying 3rd shot needed since Feb. And the current wave thru the country is a combination of less effective vax and low vaccination rate. Data from China has always been sus. They reported an extra billion vaccinated all on Jun 10th. All my contact in HK and Macau had said most there resisted the jab unless they have to cross into China and/or travel aboard. That said, since anti-vax = keeping mainlanders out of HK, there is another reason to not getting the jab there.

HK is the Alberta of China. A mildly more prosperous province always fighting the federal government over things the province has no control over.

Really easy to use and very simple concept. Such a missed opportunity not having these widespread earlier. Feds coulda spent the money on these and gave every household as many as they want instead of the other crap.
They've been forcing us to do these at work for over a month now. Have to get a nasal swab every 3rd day.

Ridiculous. Any positive is extremely likely to be a false positive.

I see no issue with people continuing to wear masks, if anyone has a problem with it then get over it

How does someone else wearing a mask impact you after the mandate is lifted?
By all means, walk around with a fucking clown suit on if it makes you feel better. They just need to quit trying to dictate what the rest of us sane people do with our lives.

Ironically they have only found positives in people with zero symptoms so far. Honestly I've been hoping I would be one of them. Gets me a few free days off work.
