Well, I'd prefer if everyone except me caught it. Ya know?

Shits going to be bumpy, but this fast transmission may be a blessing longer term. Vax+vax+recovered+vax shoukd be a pretty strong combo. Most of us should have that soon.
If be willing to accept you catching it...

BBC says omicron milder and less likely to send you to the hospital. Reasons may be complex.

Still better for each individual to avoid catching this variant, and probably very worthwhile getting a booster shot, but encouraging news all around.
Crazy the way they're still clinging to the fear angle for news. Doesn't infect the lungs, so much complexings.

It is without doubt at this point that natural immunity is more robust and longer lasting(likely lifetime lasting). If there were a time to get covid, it's this Omicron variant. Especially for the last hold out of people not getting vaccinated. Get the majority of people infected with this so we can finally move on from this dystopian insanity.

Welllll, sounds like my unvaxxed buds are having a worse time than my vaxxed buds…. I dunno completely anecdotal though.

But I kinda want this one, sounds easy and like it would help if we all get it haha

I'm more curious what various companies are doing regarding WFH (assuming that is an option for your line of work) as we head into the first 3 months of the new year.

My company stopped WFH for 95% of employees around Stampede and is never going back. Even though it would probably have a minimal impact

    Essential this… Operational Effectiveness that…

WFH? sounds like something for government employees and people HQ’d in Ontario.

My employer keeps saying "we can't wait to see you early in the new year" along with "once we see what impacts the new variant has". It seems like as long as the gov still has the recommended WFH in place we won't be going in, but I suspect the second they lift that its asses in seats.

Yeah, that is what I see on my end too. Definitely a big emphasis on government WFH recommendations, particularly for the larger companies.

Seems like a repeat of government saying don’t travel and then doing it anyways. Flight Aware has CANFORCE1/YF1/CFC1 at an airport in Dallas this week.

Not that anyone will even bother to ask Trudeau why it’s there.

The further Justin is from steering the ship the better so he can vacation all he wants in my books.

Probably the cheapest thing for taxpayers he does.

Someone should tell Justin that we are running low on rapid and pcr tests and he needs to take the anal covid test.

He spends less money on vacation than in the house. I am sure of that.

So current active cases seem to be around 15,000 which is about triple of what it was roughly 10 days ago but ICU patients are down to 50, lowest it's been in quite some time. Perhaps we can stop the fear narrative and just get on with shit?
