Looking forward to the stories on Monday that single out Alberta for “relaxing restrictions” and not following science because isolation for vaccinated people is 5 days in since cases and not 10 days.

People hate on the prairies when it’s just jealousy.

    Fuck Ontario and Quebec.

Well by then Ontario changing to five days will be old news while Alberta’s change on Monday will be current events.

$1,000 to $6,000 fine for breaking curfew in Quebec is rough though.

Really though, why not just make it a $100,000 fine.

Can we stop with the gov't benefits and let capitalism do its thing?
This is making a big issue when the debt servicing is insurmountable.

Especially when BC implemented the same right after.

So what do the numbers actually say? Are the hospitalizations per thousand of new infections increasing or decreasing for example?

Ontario reported 248 in ICU today. So still not a big deal to me based on that number, and their population. However, they were at 178 or something last Monday so that is a significant increase. I did not read anywhere on how many of the 248 were Vac/Un-Vac

Is it a significant increase though? Or is the percentage per case dropping? With cases being up hospitalization can still be up while the numbers are going down.

That's a denominator problem. And we've had it since the start of this shitshow.

As long as the vaccines are working to keep people out of the ICU, then I don't care what happens to the unvaccinated.

Be interesting to me when AHS releases the next update. Hospitalization per thousand infections is absolutely dropping, which is a great sign, but hard for governments to cheer that when hospitals might fill up in any case.

I fully support locking down the sub 65 age group that's double vaccinated and keeping this economy going. Just WFH or collect turdeau bux while complaining about the cost of living.
