That guy is a moron for opening a salon 8 weeks ago. If his business doesn’t fail now, I’m sure it will for some other reason.

Rumbling about Ontario adopting Quebec’s curfew idea, how long until we see it out here?

I’d put money on Kenney never initiating a provincewide curfew in Alberta.

I’d much rather we enforce our existing restrictions instead of pretend we need more.

This is a “we should just make murder illegal” situations.

Not a chance. I’d be shocked if Ontario tries it

Curfews are a great idea! Let’s cram people into the few remaining stores open and close them early on top of it. Governments at this point have no fucking clue what they are doing anymore, they are basically pissing into the wind. Lockdowns aren’t working so lets extend the lockdowns. Doing the same thing over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

Makes sense that Quebec got it first. They'll put this in place in the pussiest Provinces first. I'd assume Alberta will be last, as we seem to have the biggest percentage of people with attitudes that don't stand for having their rights infringed.

So what zone do you think they'll make us when this is full on Hunger Games?

With restaurants and pubs without dine in, I'm not sure why we need a curfew at all. Where can people go if indoor gathering already carries a fine?

Ontario looks dire, looks like they will be out of resources by end of the month if not earlier with positivity rate similar to us. So I don't doubt they will try curfew.

Looks like another variant discovered in Japan from Brazil.

Regardless, it won't help us thru this winter even if we hit 100%. There is not enough doses to hit critical mass any time soon.

But 60-70% administered is better than less than 50% a week ago.

Anecdotal but it looks like the timelines published are being met. My aunt in LTC is scheduled to get her shot the last week of January, and mid February for the second shot. Got all the consent forms completed, the home has been very good with communications.

Haven’t seen her for a year so some good news for the family.

    Basically.
They can make whatever new bylaws they want. When they're not enforced, you might as well have saved your breath for the ventilator.

They're only doing it for optics, and legal liability.

Sounds like the supply issues are here. Kenney just said that we will be out of vaccine by next week and mentioned that our program depends on supply from the federal government like 4 times and mentioned a call between Trudeau and the provinces were he pressed the issue.

    Fucking police are kinkshaming now
SHERBROOKE -- A Sherbrooke husband and wife were handed sizeable fines for violating curfew, despite the wife's protests that she was walking her dog and the fact the husband was wearing a leash.

The woman and her husband were each given $1,500 fines by Sherbrooke police for violating curfew. The pair was caught walking at 9 p.m. on Saturday evening.

Quebec officials have said people may walk their dogs after the 8 p.m. curfew, provided they stay within one kilometre of their house. .
