I'm not sure what you're mad about. Are you mad that you have to stay 2m away from people at restaurants? And what is the more bullshit you're referring to at the end of your post?
Except you’re allowed to sit at the same table with people who aren’t in your household, despite Nenshi’s opinion on the matter. He said that you are allowed to dine out with family and if you go out with others, you need to stay 2m away, which Alberta Health then clarified is not the case.

He should be retracting his statement so there isn’t any ambiguity and restaurants aren’t affected by it. And he can probably stop dragging his feet on playgrounds too.

Alberta health is a reputable source of information, Nenshi is not.

I thought he nailed his "The river is closed" speech. Other than that, yeah I see your point.

Other than dining parties must be 2m apart or physically separated and dining party has to be 6 people or less, there is no guidance on different household can't be in same party.

I think AHS set the party size to be 6 basically have very similar effect of what Nenshi said without pissing off people and DINKs.

My neighborhood Starbucks now have one way loop thru the store but they have not set up any tables or chairs out yet. I got a feeling they won't set them out until stage 3.

15 minute wait to get into Earl's on 130 ave SE at around 6pm today.

I was surprised how busy it was but it is like the only place open in the area. Monday night we gave up finding dine in and ordered pizza to the hotel. And I am with some other guys from Edmonton and we were sure hoping no one was going to insist we had to be from the same household. lol

That's Fraser's point. Nenshi said on-air that no one is allowed to sit at the same table as non-household members.

Walked into my usual western Chinese food joint today and much like Starbucks, they are staying as takeout only place as they are too small to carry out all the rules in stage 1.

Grabs 2 boxes and did a semi-business lunch at a park bench eating like hobos under the sun. Ain't bad.

WFH is definitely irritating to some.

Take out is so easy and chill to operate. Sales are down but with costs down, I think I like it this way for now at least.

Only grafitti. I'm actually pretty impressed that it has not escalated. I won't even blame white people, logic means and timing dictates high probability of disgruntled HK teenagers. Which is a little premature, because they haven't yet got a million dollar hospital tab - like many in the USA will get.

I think people know not to point fingers too harshly, because A) if natural then there really is only god to point a finger to or B) China may not be the right nation to be pointing a finger at.

Not surprised. It was bad when they held the Michaels and started to do punitive trade actions. It just got worse for the virus that changed life as we know it.

My black friend just told me that it's about time you guys (Asians) get what they have been getting.... jokingly of course.

CBCs probably get hurt the most tho out of the whole deal tho since they were raised Canadians 1st.

Well this afternoons traffic was definitely at pre covid levels. Even some some Deerfoot road rage going on, ending in an accident.

Feels nice to be back to normal.

I hope they can finish the construction on Crowchild by McMahan soon. Two lane crow in rush hour is a recipe for greatness.

Downtown 4th Ave construction is pretty intense. Don't think traffic was that heavy, but the lane closures made up for it.

Only problem with take out is not being able to enjoy draft beer. Maybe that can be included with food soon, kinda like bring your own mug and they fill it.
