If Qantas says that's what you need to get on their flights, then that's what you need... don't like it? fly with a different airline
The question is would Quanta's goes on this alone or something they want to work with Oneworld alliance partners since this may impact them as well.

And looks like IATA is preparing the framework for all airlines anyway:
    https://globalnews.ca/news/7478787/c...assports-iata/

Given 50% of airplane travel is done by 1% and they are the ones that pays the bills, I expect this to be widely adopted to attract business from people like Buster.

We in steerage just do whatever to come along for the ride.

EDIT: even not legislated by gov, is there even a single US airline that doesn't have a mask mandate?

If a country says this it the requirement for entry or an airline says it's a requirement to get on my air craft, then it's the requirement - shut up and follow it - don't like it, don't travel to that country or get on that plane

I don't disagree. But I think once this gain steam, FOMO will force all airlines to follow Quanta's lead but it would be cheapest to adopt IATA's already developed framework.

So then it will become norm and the start of global health passport/app.

Is it time to sue China yet?
With Biden as president, I’d be surprised to see any sanctions or actions taken against China, “they’re not our enemy, they’re our competitors”

It's pretty funny, all of the wokies hated Trump and desperately wanted Biden in the seat. Now they get to watch a globalist favour the elites and the 1%ers...jokes on them?

TLDR: Vaccination records required to fly.
No desire to go to Aus or NZ so as long as I stay away from Quantas then.

What is this? All part of UN 2030 to track us???

Regarding the "Albertans are shit heads" narrative, is it safe to assume Nuavutians and Manatobans are bigger shit heads?

And does that make people who live in New York City the biggest shit heads?

What's interesting is that India and the USA have close to the same amount of cases, yet India has half the amount of deaths. When you factor deaths per 100k, India(9/100K) is even less than Canada (30/100k). I don't for a second believe that they all wear masks and practice proper hygiene in their overpopulated society. You'd think Covid would spread like wildfire out there. I wonder if there are other, health related, factors that play into the statistics. That or India is just not reporting Covid related deaths as liberally as the western world. At this point, if you die in Canada or the USA with Covid in your system you are labelled as a covid statistic, regardless of how you died. Hospital bed on respirator or auto accident, it's still a C19 statistic.
I dont think its a case where Indian are not reporting cvid related deaths like the west. They do not have have same civic standard.

I remember when my grandmother died in 1999. I had to go and buy firewood, load it onto a cart and pull it across the village. We (family) burned her body the same day. The next day we took some of her ashes and bones and started our journey to the river Ganga.
There was no death certificate, no civil servant with a clipboard recording the death. Not much has changed since then.

Not only that, the lifestyle is different. One can have a driver, cleaner, cook... the layers of poverty are immense. Many people would not need to come down from their ivory tower. The practice of proper hygiene is bad, at the same time one can almost argue some may have built built up a stronger immune system. Or stronger gut bacteria at least.

So I don't understand how Indian statistics can be measured to the same standard to that of the West.

Absolutely true. There are so many variances between the countries in what is reported, how a covid death is considered, or whether there are any agendas to under or overreport. (And not just over there - the US medical system is built on a foundation of money.) I do agree with whoever said that it should be spreading like crazy in most developing countries. The numbers are clearly skewed all over.

Not looking forward to restrictions to come - even though I realize they are probably required. I am already eating on my savings and been unemployed forever, and now things shut down to further limit options. Trying to keep level.

Fuck you 2020. Literally worst year in my entire memory. And there have been some pretty horrible ones.

You're like... 3-4 days too late on that one haha. I hear Costco has been cleaned out of TP by noon every day. Granted it'll probably get crazier if the announcement has any teeth.
