fuck all in Alberta. At one point I put together a chart for federal employees per capita by province. Guess who was at the bottom.
That's what happens when every party knows with 100% certainty which way Alberta will vote (federally). No one needs to pander to us, or buy our votes.

Has another party ever tried to win seats here? Yes, the Reform Party. And they did win the seats.
I am not sure if just giving another party our vote will change anything regarding policy towards the west.

I can see another Reform type party being helpful for the west. We can vote for our pro industry reform party and the conservatives can bend to the will of Toronto. Thankfully, they still likely couldn't ever form a majority government and will depend on the support of the reform group to maintain a stable government.. One can only hope anyways.

Lol why on earth would they release a deadly virus in a 'planned' fashion only to be caught with their pants down and hemorrhaging money away to the point of bankruptcy and bring the world into a depression. Makes no sense.
Conspiracy theorist crackpots never do. Their logic is broken. They are obsessed with ignoring the simple obvious and correct explanation in favor of some contrived evil mastermind plot and they’ll believe random made up shit with no evidence at all over actual known facts.

And then after a couple elections, they'll realize that they need broader federal appeal if they want to be more then just the Opposition, have a name change in hopes of winning more seats, be frustrated with the Reform and Conservative vote split in suburban and rural Ontario resulting narrow Liberal victories pushing the Grits to a majority, and eventually realize that uniting the right is the only way they could achieve victory, rallying behind the more recognizable name and colour scheme.

The original will probably be better than the remake.

I really wish they would swab corpses. Been a few dead bodies my crew have had to deal with where family/roommates disclosed they were symptomatic prior to their deaths. No autopsy, no swabbing. Tag, bag, and away they go. I'd be curious about the real numbers worldwide
Now I heard (although 3rd hand info) they are not handing out death certificates until late June/July for anyone that passed since mid March. May be they will be confirmed later once labs are not stressed?

But if you hear numbers from everything is a COVID death crowd and not enough COVID testing on corpse crowd, they all balance out?

Kenney wants to keep things going.

"Alberta’s premier says the province will follow the steps of other countries who’ve kept their economies functioning while keeping a second wave of COVID-19 cases at bay.

Jason Kenney pointed to Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea as examples of jurisdictions from who he’d be taking inspiration.

His plan consists of five main components: a strengthened effort to track the contacts of those who have tested positive; stronger border screening; public health order enforcement using technology like smartphone apps; and asking Albertans to wear masks in “crowded public spaces” like transit. "

I have mixed feelings about using tech. Slippery slope when it comes to governments.

Google and Apple probably already handed info over. Or he can always ask Huawei and the Chinese since Telus runs on it.

Although I think mandatory mask for any places you don't own will make more sense.

Or just do what NY do. No exceptions.

Where can you buy masks right now? All I can think of are masks that Home Depot used to sell for woodwork.

I imagine when hes saying wear masks, it can range from surgical to N95 and then to home made masks.

Plenty in Walmart. 50 cents a piece. https://www.walmart.ca/en/health/hom...d-masks/N-8116

One thing to note is that almost all those aren't sold by Walmart but rather other third party stores. So just make sure you read carefully and compare listings and not just go for whatever is cheapest.

To be fair, they have an answer: rich people want money and control. My coworker spent an hour this morning telling me how now while the markets are low the rich will buy everything at a discount rate, and also the UN is going to consolidate power to bring us closer to One World Government. Also, as is typical, it's Jews. But nowadays with the extra spicy twist of it only being left wing Jews

To be actually fair, rich people will in fact buy up properties/stocks at massive discounts right now, not because they unleashed a deadly virus on the world in a James Bond B reel movie plot, but because taking advantage of market fluctuations is how capitalism works
