People are speculating they will lift restrictions for spring.

Pretty easy, I'm done following restrictions. That's all there is to it.

There aren't enough bylaw cops to enforce them and the charter says they can't refuse me entry when I get back from vacation. With no end in sight, there is zero point in following them anymore.

I think this attitude is becoming extremely common.

Yup, there is no more "for the good of the community" sentiment out there any more. It's up to people to protect themselves if they don't want to get sick and get to the vaccine.

I won't comment on whether your attitude is right or wrong, as it's not my place, but I think the authorities should have the ability to put people who are identified as non-compliant in a Phase 4 of the vaccine rollout to get the vaccines last.

Fine with me, not like I was high up on any list to get it anyway

I'm 100% on board with this. Should have been this way from the beginning. If a person thinks it's of no consequence to get infected, let them go about and do their thing. Instead of issuing tickets, just issue them non-optional waivers to their forego their right to an ICU bed or a vaccine.

edit: similar to buster, this is not directed at anyone, nor intended to have negative connotation. I simply think people should have the right to do whatever they want, but should also have to sleep in the bed they make.

    I LIKE THIS WAIVERS PLAN

    What else can I waive?

As long as those comfortable watching businesses die and go under are willing to forfeit their cerb/ei money and have it directed to keeping ours afloat I would agree.

I would happily stay home if I got sick and just die in my own bed if it came to that. Being in a hospital on a ventilator sounds like torture anyway. If it's my time it's my time.

You must have a sleep number bed.

Those are like the trackhawk of beds. Firm mattresses are best for Covid recovery and prevention. The data is solid.

When Florida repealed their motorcycle helmet law some years ago, they also required that a rider have at least 10,000$ in health insurance coverage.

Florida man loved the idea and the # of organ donors went up by quite a bit apparently.

Just saw a headline Trudeau telling you to cancel spring vacations.

    Is a travel ban coming?

That would be the most Canadian thing to do ever. Passport block all of our ability to travel, but continue letting people fly in the country without testing from Haiti daily.

Well according to AC and WJ, the PCR test before boarding is basically a travel ban to their business.

Well, US doesn't care when you fly out. Canadian border can't stop you if you are driving back. And to fly back, all you need is a negative PCR test 72hr before boarding and it's probably easy to get in major US cities.
