    eventually sure...

Kenney said this was over in June ... and look where we are today...

I wish it was over... nothing would make me happier, the one thing this shit show has taught me ... expect the unexpected. and stupidity has no limits ... i guess that is two things...

Positivity is down, active cases down in every region, overall a good day.
    Absolutely.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

I'm more trustworthy than @kenny , but not sure about Kenney.

Anywhoo, I think if we were both sitting down over a coffee we'd mostly agree on most things.

But this is internet. I must polarize.

If I'm being "balanced" what isn't over is the crisis in our health care system. The workers there, and the working conditions there, are going to take months to wind down, and years to recover.

There is going to be a bump roughly 2 weeks after Thanksgiving and probably after Christmas/New Years. We have been in this shit show for 2 years it's really quite easy to see these trends coming now. And besides masks back in public space what is really changed since The Greatest Summer Ever? Every business is open, adult sports and gyms are open. You can even go to a Flames game now.

COVID isn't going away man. It will continually pop up as time goes on.

Yes, Covid the virus doesn't need to "go away" for all of us to move on with our lives. That's not a requirement, or a realistic expectation.

This. Aside from masks, shits still going good. I don’t know what the doomers are on about with the memes. If you’re double vaxxed, life is pretty normal if you choose to be.

One of my acquaintances used to do steroids for flexing competitions but won't take the vaccines because he doesn't trust what's in it. Oh the ironing.

Work from home orders are hurting a lot of business. only 40% of businesses are at precovid numbers. Many business cant get people to work... we are a long ways from normal but creeping back there.

    You know.

All a company needs to do is decide they don’t want to work from home and poof the work from home order is meaningless.

Some businesses have self-declared that employees daily work is one of the following:
    a) supporting essential services
    b) supporting "critical infrastructure"
    c) cannot be done from home
    d) an essential business function

You'd be hard pressed to find any job that couldn't be self-declared as one of those. I'm all four....
