    Wedding = mass = worship = loophole

    Wine can also equal sacrament, so reception is yes?

    I mean are you that surprised we have a Christian party in power.
    Ha ha. No. I know a UCP MLA and he said that the majority of UCP are anti-Christian.

    Weddings and churches can eat my shit. They are CHOICES. It's funerals they should be figuring out how to attempt to reasonably accommodate.
    Go point your bum at #SkyMan in your fucking house and go plow your GF without that ring on your finger, just like we all knew you already were doing.

    The covid treatment centre built for millions of $$ outside the Peter Lougheed had zero usage since this Spring. Is it actually being used now?
    IIRC it’s not that it isn’t being used, it’s just not being used for COVID patients. It’s being used as an admitting area for emergency allowing the other parts of the hospital to handle COVID and ICU patients. So the space isn’t just sitting empty. It’s probably getting more used now since PLC has been getting hit with outbreaks ramping up.

    Regarding worship, if 1/3 capacity allows enough space for cohorts to socially distance properly what is the issue? It seems like it could be successful to me. Been a long time since Ive been to a church but I recall generally having quite of bit of space inside. Gatherings in the lobby before and after were always more social though. I think if the facility was careful and followed the guidance it could be done safely.

    I think it would make an interesting news story as this topic seems to be a sticking point. I'm curious to see what actions different places have taken to follow orders. Kenny did mention a few bad actors in the church group though.. personally have heard a few huderite communities got hit pretty hard.
    Places of worship really should be considered on a case-by-case basis, as they come in all different sizes. And limiting by fire code building capacity is different than, in the case of many churches, sanctuary capacity. Strange rules. Of course, one or two outbreaks at places of worship and things will change.

    I have a family friend who had a cousin that died in that big church outbreak a few months ago up north somewhere. Apparently they were taking all the recommended precautions too, but who knows if they really were.

    Ya for sure. If you lloked at a restaurants capacity it would be way more than the number of people they could sit at tables and definitely more than 3x what they could sit with proper social distancing. But churches still have to follow social distancing so it may work if people follow it.

    If I pay a friend to wipe my ass, that’s home care and allowed and then we can watch the football game after.

    I find it stupid that worship services still get to have huge capabilities. 1/3rd capacity isn't much of a restriction.
    True. Places of worship 33% of capacity. Singing moistly, chanting, shaking hands... Retail 25% of capacity. Passing dryly, ignoring....

    Not even 1/3 capacity, 1/3 "normal attendance"

    Just make sure it's an appointment, and not a walk-in.
