Ironically they have only found positives in people with zero symptoms so far. Honestly I've been hoping I would be one of them. Gets me a few free days off work.
    That’s not at all ironic.

Literally nobody at your company understands math.

Testing asymptomatic people should never be done for any test.

I guess you failed Sarcasm 101.

But yeah, I agree, this entire thing has been retarded for the past year. I don't think anything my company is doing is different than all of society.

I got your tone, it’s still not ironic.

A positive test should always be followed up with another test on the same sample.

If you get a positive on one of their rapid tests, you get sent home and have to book an AHS PCR test to confirm results.

Also, my relatives in ON basically say our AHS experience here (service, vaccine, testing) is far superior to GTA. That may explain why they don't have end dates on their plan.
I’mnot sure how to feel about this.

But hey, office life = AC life

    Terrible. Ah well, figures.

Anyhow, have you ever tried just being not obtuse for even a bit? You can even admit you're wrong once in a while. Or just not say anything at all, because nobody really truly cares. We're all just here for the lulz.

How many rapid tests have been confirmed positive by AHS?

I know of a half dozen, not sure on the total stats though. One guy actually had symptoms, so he was not some asymptomatic case. Just a cunt that kept coming to work because he didn't want to lose out on OT if he had to stay home with covid.

Study Concludes Slave Muzzles Did not Slow Covid Spread in US

-University of Louisville study found that mask mandates and use are not associated with lower Covid19 spread

-looking at 80% of US states that mandated masks, the data concluded greater mask compliance did not correlate with lower growth rates of the virus

-the hypothesis at the onset was that statewide mask mandates and use are are associated with lower Covid19 case growth rates, however after finishing, researchers concluded that the findings did not support the hypothesis

-the study also states masks may promote social cohesion as rallying symbols during a pandemic but risk compensation can also occur

-prolonged mask use (>4hrs/day) promotes facial alkalization and inadvertently encourages dehydration which can enhance barrier breakdown and bacterial infection risk

-in the UK, clinicians have reported headaches, sweating and a decrease in cognitive precision among those wearing masks more than 4 hours per day

LoL! Even Edmonton voted to end the mask mandate bylaw on July 1. Their Mayor sucks so very much, so I think I'm learning Nenshi is awful.

Bill Maher Rants on Google and Facebook censorship on Lab Leak Theory and Ivermectin

“You were wrong, Google and Facebook....The CDC’s been wrong about a lot shit, this is outrageous that I can’t look this information up. And now they're doing this with this drug Ivermectin. ..Youtube shouldn't be telling me what I can see about Ivermectin. Ivermectin isn't a Registered Republican. It's a Drug"

Remember how Australia was supposed to be the model for covid? How implementing a 4 month lockdown (Melbourne), with a curfew, with restrictions on travel, and a one hour allowance to go outside, was supposed to be a great thing?

Their vaccine rollout has been terrible, it's no wonder. I won't be surprised when we shut down again, even with the vaccines.

There is no viable strategy to keep the virus out long term. Not out of a workplace, a school, a family and certainly not out of an entire country. Vaccination is the only path forward.

Lots not gonna follow the rules if they do this again. Lots of people with the "I am double-vaxxed, I am good" mentality.
Besides, the only way they'll even consider this is if variants make the vaccines ineffective.

Genuinely interested to hear why you believe that Alberta or Canada will see a resurgence so bad that another shutdown is needed.

It seems that all the fourth wave hysteria requires several key points and studies to be outright ignored and the focus to be shifted from keeping the healthcare system from collapse to straight case numbers as a singular metric

I don't think we will but at the same time I can see why it could happen.

Places like high level have less than a 3rd vaccination rate. Lots of rural counties are also very low. A few outbreaks there and our hospitalization rates start climbing again and then we're talking about restrictions to not overload the healthcare system.

I think the Delta variant hype is definitely overstated but at the same time we've already seen countless variants. It's not unexpected to think that a different one could come out that changes the situation again. Much of the undeveloped world still has virtually no vaccines so it's not unthinkable that there are worse mutations out there that could spread once travel resumes. I hope not but then again this past year has been all kinds of fucked up.

Rural areas don’t matter. There’s simply too few people.

While we can blame UK/China outbreak on ineffective ADV vaccines. Israel (Pfizer) is also starting to freak out due to low adoption. LA reinstated mask guidance regardless of vaccination and CDC is starting to panic as vaccination stalls. HK just banned all British flights (although, it's more about stopping dissidents from fleeing more than Delta). And we are about to have Olympics in a month, talking about potential super spreader event.

We are about 1 month out to see if US follows UK. I think if we can get to 70% 2 dose by end of July, we may be able to escape this round. The only good numbers out of UK is the hospitalization is 5x lower.

Won't be surprised. Huge Mennonite population in that region (La Crete, etc.)
