I would think this type of wealth transfer is exactly what this country needs to "build back better" isn't it? free money for low income earners, paid for by taxes of higher income earners. I don't see the issue.
If that's what it really is then just let's call it that. It's interesting because I have heard even in schools that Education Support Workers, Custodians and other staff are getting it but teachers are not. The way it is framed is that it is support for essential workers, although it is not support for every essential workers.

This feels strange because as a society we only valued their work at a certain rate before, but now we value it higher, but only temporarily. After this is done you are worth less again. It's a strange situation to me.

We do not value low wage earners, this is all a sham.

I never said I would fight with anyone. If they want to illegally arrest me and force me to some detention area in a hotel, that's their call. You can sue afterwards.

There is no martial law in place that makes public health order circumvent citizens basic rights and freedoms. Regardless, health orders request for you to isolate. Which you can do at home. There is nothing about isolation that requires them to kidnap you and hold you against your will somewhere.
I think the better idea would be to spend your time to determine an appropriate safe word with your handler.
Fauci I think might be misheard as something else.
So pick another. @Toilet_X probably has some recommendations. Maybe he supports a no safe word method??

So all of February, except Feb 1st, Alberta has had less cases than BC each day. At what point do we close our border so the grubby hippies can't come spread their covid.

You probably didn't miss the discussions Horgan has been having about "being ready" to close thier borders to us.

BC has been a shit show. They’ve been 8-9% positive since early November. Just the last week it finally dropped to 6.5% positivity. Don’t look at just case numbers, lots of people avoiding testing in BC.

Don't think I'd want to vacation there, seems much riskier than local.

I had a dream that Horgan drowned in the new lake upstream of the Site-C dam (that he promised to cancel before being not elected the first time) and his bloated corpse was macerated in the power turbines.

    Woke up with an erection.

Kinda figured this was always the case. Up to our big spike in cases in Sept, BC had a higher deaths/hospitalizations for much of the earlier pandemic and yet less overall cases ... always seemed fishy.

They also have half the tests we do if you look at head to head total tests to date.

All my co-workers in Vancouver look at me like I have a third eye when I say I wouldn’t want to be weathering this pandemic in any other province. There seems to be a fundamental trust of government in bc I don’t think I’ll ever understand.

It takes a powerful force to convince someone they need to make 30% less money to save for a house that costs 95% more.

That analysis is missing several key factors. I've done my own numerical simulations and added them in. We have a classis z-wave setup that will create the "loop chair", which causes, without fail, the warp to the Z region. There's no escaping the mathematics of this, but don't stress about it, it's actually good news.
