All directives should come with a normal adult talk and an ELI5 baby talk video.

At a certain point, it the wily grade 4ers gaming the system to get out of school.

All directives should come with a normal adult talk and an ELI5 baby talk video.
They need someone to explain with the demeaner of Steve Irwin, so they explain it adequately to kids and adults, but anyone with a hint of intelligence knows how dumbed down it is.

There are now 16 outbreaks in nine hospitals across the province, with 30 per cent of elective surgeries being postponed, affecting hundreds of patients in Edmonton.

And the number of people in hospitals and the ICU is alarming, said chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw.

“That’s 73 per cent of the 70 (ICU) beds — this is deeply concerning,” she said.
I thought Alberta had something like 250 ICU beds. And they had been bolstered because of the pandemic.

Apparently not enough sciences and she'd have to take time away from pumping up Dr. Skeletor Tu's 3-ply masks that we magically discovered 8 months into the pandemic.
Kind of off topic, but it's rather amusing that some people like to call her ugly...as if you could trust a hot female doctor with COVID, give me a break, she looks exactly how I would picture a competent doctor (whether she really is or not is debatable of course). Like would it be better if she looked like Elle Driver from Kill Bill?

I've been lucky enough to be playing shinny with work for the last 10 Mondays, just started using a brand new pair of skates last week too!....I wonder if any of the outdoor rinks will be open/maintained? If so, we should set up a Beyond.ca meet.

Perhaps its 70% of the currently occupied ICU beds are from covid patients?

what is your suggestion to limit transmission?
If they're looking to cut case numbers and their data shows that social gatherings are driving those numbers, lower the limit from 15 to 5 would probably be a good place to start. Weddings and funerals are at 50 now I think, cut that number in half and keep the current prohibition on receptions. Religious gatherings get stopped outright. Enforce it the same way they are running the mask bylaw, education and enforcement for the worst cases. Enough people would either self-police or worry about getting dimed out by the neighbors who didn't get an invite that the ones who do slip under the radar shouldn't matter.

Limiting restaurant hours and liquor sales might have the unwanted effect of moving people indoors where the sanitizing procedures in restaurants aren't present, so I wouldn't have those in place. Small group classes at gyms stay, so long as the distancing and sanitizing guidance is followed. Put effort into figuring out how schools are contributing, I know it's the sacred cow that no one wants to touch, but if cases are widespread and linked to schools, time to start closing them

Start early and teach your child to read past the headline.

    Specifically:

    - No social gatherings inside your home or outside of your community. Instead, socialize outdoors or in structured settings, like restaurants or other business that are subject to legal limits and take steps to prevent transmission.

    - 15-person limit on social and family gatherings - indoors and outdoors - where people are mixing and mingling.
Well, I was reading it directly off the Alberta government website. Is this extended information from a source, or.did you add the interpretation yourself? Confused.

    Alien confirmed.

Elon Musk Tests Positive And Negative For Coronavirus, Awaiting Confirmation
    https://www.npr.org/sections/coronav...g-confirmation

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced on Twitter he has tested both positive and negative for COVID-19 after taking four rapid antigen tests.

Experts have long cautioned that such rapid tests are not as reliable as others at diagnosing the coronavirus. There are other tests, including one called PCR, widely seen as the "gold standard." Musk has gotten one of those, too.

There's 2 rules in question, first rule is in relation to inside your HOME or outside your community...2nd rule is 15 person limit on social/family gatherings, as long as you're not in violation of rule #1, how is this so hard to understand lol, sorry nothing personal....example, you can have a 15 person social gathering in a big backyard or driveway, OR, you can have it in a community hall INDOORS as long everyone is from your community. I mean I guess it's kind of like those parking and traffic signs downtown where there's about 3-4 of them all together and you have to read all of them and figure out if you're contravening any single one based on what time you're parking.

So I am hearing that being in prison is preferable to having kids?

That has an interesting correlation to America’s prison demographics.

It's literally from the link you quoted.

If any of you had told me a year ago that the buses today would say “face covering required”, I would have asked if Trudeau finally instituted sharia law like all the far right nut jobs have been suggesting for years.

I guess Nenshi is feeling left out again. He has scheduled a news conference to update us on the measures that we just got an update on yesterday.

So sorry to hear man, I really don’t like the idea of taking away people’s ability to keep their body in shape. If buster is right and we go to full lockdown in 2 weeks, we become blobs again and a bunch more people become more susceptible to stronger corona cases.

I'm sorry to hear that. Its unfortunate but restaurants and gyms have basically become the scapegoats of this pandemic. My gym has gone all out on precautions, strict timing/usage/spacing restrictions, masks in between areas, the whole place is drenched in disinfectant and bleach every 1.5 hours, and yet its never going to be enough.

    Best of luck.
    I appreciate the support.

    Definitely a sleepless night.
Still very frustrated this is happening again, my fear is another extended shut down like the first one, 6 months without revenue, carrying the costs we did... We were barely able to open.

If nothing else we are learning a lot and I know this will serve us well in future ventures.
