I had this weird dream where Kim Jong Un was threatening the US to wear masks or else he will nuke them.
And he had these orbiting satellites giving him surveillance. Obviously there were lots of people who continued not to wear masks so he sent out a couple nukes and killed millions. Then everyone worldwide started to listen due to fear of getting nuked and then the world was praising Kim Jong Un as the greatest leader.

Then I woke up and had to get ready for work.

    I’ll admit I’m pretty laissez-faire about stuff.

But this seems like a REALLY bad idea

many experts have stated masks work, the problem with the anti-masker crowd is they haven't been impacted by covid nor do they know anyone who has so they think it's all a hoax, it's no worse than the flu, it's impacting their freedom, they can't breath, etc etc etc. so here's first hand account of it working, in an area with the highest at risk people
Who are you considering an "anti-masker"? I actually wear the mask as it's not worth the hassle of being verbally assaulted by people like you. But I certainly do not give half a fuck about masks. And it's not because I haven't been impacted, my wife and I have both had it. It's because I understand the basic epidemiology of the situation. We will never go full China scale lock down here in Canada, so Covid is not going away. Period. Even if masks do work(which is scientifically questionable if you care to take all the data into account and not just your cherry picked anecdotes that support your own opinion), they are simply stretching out how long we are keeping these compromised people at risk that your wife works with at the hospital every day.

Agreed, leashes need to be secured better, this is based on an honour system, children cannot be trusted

...didn’t the daycare in this building already have an outbreak in the spring too??

New business venture: You know those bath soap bombs that dissolve when you throw it in water? Can we have a Lysol bomb that covers a room when you throw it in the ground? Like when it breaks like a Chocolate Orange?

Or Purrel in the form of a tear gas canister.

I thought Suncor was an employee infection, not long after the daycare outbreak.

We got 2, and we got at least 20x less headcounts than Suncor.

Meh... This is just one more thing many as humans don't care about that affects the lives of others outside of us. It is just the "scary" factor (IMHO) to many people who feel like it is beyond their own life controls and that means it might actually affect them instead of the other guys for a change. People can be self righteous all they want but the fact is no human is innocent of risking others in their own self interest in some form or another at any point in their lives. I am not judging anyone for their own rationalization because we all do it.

Care to explain or link to those scenarios? The majority of policy is both sides need to wear a mask and exemptions made when its not practical (i.e. patrons eating at a restaurant). I haven't seen any policy that says so long as one side has a mask the other doesn't require one.
Current policy does not require patrons of restaurants to wear a mask, that is well over 15 minutes exposure of circulated air. Gyms only require masks in very select areas, easily over 15 minutes of heavy breathing of recirculated air. Social gatherings in private settings require no masks periods, see above. Masks do work if everyone wears them in all scenarios, currently policy does not and will not follow that. “Not Practical” is the exact flaw.

What's the issue? Daycares with really little kids like that have used those things to keep all little kids together on walks long before we heard of the pandemic.
It helps them focus on staying with the workers and teaches them to cross the streets as a group, etc. They're just holding onto the ones I've seen - it's not a leash.

Yea the leash wasn’t the problem I saw. That’s nothing new.
