As per the COC website regarding mask bylaw.
The Pandemic Face Covering Bylaw 63M2021 came into effect on September 4, 2021. The bylaw will continue to be in force until a target threshold (fewer than 100 cases per 100,000 Calgarians over a period lasting more than 10 days) is achieved. If this threshold is not achieved by December 31, 2021, the bylaw will be repealed on that date.

Anyone else call shenanigans on this?
I predict an extension just because.

It does not matter, the provincial mandate is still in place and they will both get extended

Reverting to provincial would be ok. If I remember correctly it was less restrictive in a few key ways. Namely the requirement to mask in private work spaces is all city.

Provincial still applies at work, but you can take it off at your desk (or non-shared office)

Provincial mandate applies to public spaces,

Kindof irrelevant considering people dgaf anymore and no one wears masks at work anyway.

The Dec 31 date was already scrapped. Was 10 days, then 28 and now there is no criteria for repeal of the bylaw

Maybe Turdeau should formally apologize to Covid and it will go away.

We're all just experiencing the situation differently.
Covid is having a great time. No issues for them (if that is the right pronoun)
Beyond woke police, please correct my pronoun on covid as necessary.

Actually a Covid avoidance tax is the best strategy.

    So what is it about?
That's the million dollar question. Since none of us know why they are disrupting our lives, it is what's giving the conspiracy people a soap box. Same as religion, God of the gaps.

If Omi is as bad as media portrait it is, we will then repeating this cycle every 70-90 days. Not yearly. It'll be perpetual.

None of the forecast comes true because rules are set in place to avoid it being true. Otherwise it'll be a black swan event as nobody saw it coming.
