"People" told me this doctor who supports masks is a weird dude. True story bro. I like sharing this info because it is truly helpful to others. Thanks.

12-3 vote in favor. Chu, Farkas, Magliocca against.

This was in a Hospital lol

I'm assuming you mean the top bridge of the nose and the glasses? Then it's still effective.

Not necessarily at protecting him but that will stop any droplets from him breathing which is the point of the masks. If he's infected it'll help protect others. Even people wearing masks wrong or half correctly still protects others from their idiocy.

Unless you mean under his nostrils ... which then ... derp.

Also saw many chin straps at Crossiron yesterday.

Failure of others shouldn't stop someone doing it properly themselves tho.

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

95 doctors: We think everyone should wear masks
5 doctors: We think masks are dumb

Stupid people: SEE DOCTORS SAY MASKS ARE DUMB

Imagine a fucking tooth brush commercial saying 1 out of 5 dentists recommend not brushing your teeth! That's basically what people are pushing when they come up with a random doctors opinion that goes against the rest.

I mean from bottom of glasses folded up such that nostrils were showing. Maybe 2-3cm of mask lol

Serious question. What constitutes a public health crisis?
Certainly not the 9728 total Alberta COVID cases in our province of 4.4 million people that's for sure.

That statement only works if all of us got tested.

EDIT: If you want to downplay the situation, the AB site has the data:

    https://www.alberta.ca/covid-19-albe...BoCqKAQAvD_BwE

    9,728/598,317 = 1.5%

    You're absolutely right.

A more appropriate figure would be 172 deaths out of 4.4 million people because you can test only the dead.

Which highlights even better how absurd this whole thing is. You can't prove a negative, so claiming the lockdown has done anything for actual prevention is also highly suspect beyond the reasoning of less people interacting has some unquantifiable effect on transmission.

In 2016, more people died due to suicide then 2020 covid deaths in Alberta.

    Thank God for scientific calculators.

MARTHSZZZZ (I think I did this right):

    9,728/598,317 = 1.5% Confirmed

    598,317/~4,400,000 = ~13.6% Testing Rate

So there's 86.4% you're rolling the dice hoping you don't get the COVID

Just remember CONTAGION, PEOPLE! IT ALL STARTED WITH A FRUIT BAT!

It's the system, man. More people would comprehend if only they taught exponents outside of engineering and science schools.

I liked it when life was simple, contemplating on buying your mixer and start baking

You make a very good point, to even remotely think it was one doctor who spearheaded this whole mask thing is beyond stupid and throw in that hes from Calgary's own PLH is the icing on the cake lol
