It’s nice to know that if I ever don’t want to see my coworkers for a couple weeks all I need to do is cough.

If I was a teacher then it would bet me 2 weeks off. Perks of the job I guess.

I've had that option since March at my work. Asides from the initial 2 weeks when the entire country locked down, no one here has done this.

Why do you always assume the worst in people's work ethics?

I'm wondering if it's "safe" to fly to the USA to meet my colleagues? Answers are mixed and nobody seems to have a definite "yes or no".
There is no definitive answer. It all depends on your tolerance of risk.

Will you probably leave without the virus? Yeah, probably. Is the risk worth it? That's a personal opinion but I personally would have zero interest in going to down into that shitshow right now.

When in doubt I am very comfortable assuming people’s work ethics are garbage.

"Like other activities during COVID-19 that involve physical closeness, there are some things you can do to minimize the risk of getting infected and spreading the virus," she said.

Skip kissing, avoid face-to-face closeness, wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose, and monitor yourself and your partner for symptoms ahead of any sexual activity, Tam said.

"The lowest-risk sexual activity during COVID-19 involves yourself alone,"

If someone could define what the word "safe" means, then that's a good start. my social circle cannot even agree on that.
