Now that Omicron is in Ontario, will we be announcing another 2 week "bend the curve to save Christmas" lockdown that won't work?

You either go for face shield
    https://www.amazon.com/Safety-Reusab.../dp/B089NY95SL

or give the Japnese PITTA mask a try.
    https://www.amazon.ca/Pitta-mask-she.../dp/B01F8N0PQ2

I find the PITTA is slightly more breathable compare to cloth or other disposables but it' still a mask.
I want a mask that does literally nothing, but looks like a normal mask

I reccomend one of the 2-ply synthetic fabric masks, with the inner layer cut away.

There is a chance that Omicron might be the savior. Highly transmissible, but mild. Time to open the floodgates?

    One can hope.

Or it throws a curve ball and becomes the least transmissible with deadly outcomes then goes extinct.

    Isn’t that what SARS did?
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

This pandemic has totally failed to accelerate the generational wealth transfer from the boomers to thier descendants. Weak.

lol man are you for real? Vaccines? One of the greatest medical discoveries in the last 100 years for lives saved?
Yes vaccines are valuable. But purposely spreading misinformation and lying to the public about them in some attempt to decrease hesitancy, tends to have a paradoxically opposite effect when people find out you're lying.

Since masks are basically pointless theater nowadays, has anyone found a fully breathable mask that just looks like it is doing its job?
    Yes.
    https://www.amazon.ca/BESTEAM-Pack-R...50&sr=8-8&th=1

It's completely breathable mesh. It has a flappy paper dust filter hanging inside, which can be easily removed. It's not a simple slip over the ears thing unfortunately. But I got it for the intention of flying to Mexico for 6 hours.

This one is more traditional. Reviews seem alright. One said if you cut out the inside layer it becomes pure mesh and easily breathable.

Been seeing these too, which is weird as they don't even meet the extremely loose descriptions of what a mask can be.

Did it though? Wait until this inflation is done, not to mention the tax impact over the next XXX years. My bet in 10 years an inheritance tax will be remembered as a sunny walk in the park.

Well, yeah, but no. I meant by killing most of them, not some half-hearted policy tinkering.
