There are many factors at play. The biggest problem (in the US anyways) is the inability to manufacture enough test kits. This is more of a globalization issue as there’s shortages in supplies needed to make the kits as they’re coming from Europe and Asia. I’m not sure what the expectation is in a pandemic, building a heath care system that can handle something like this is kind of overkill. We’d (including me) would be just be bitching about AHS waste during normal times.
