Do you actually sneeze INTO your mask? Gross.
Yes, but I don't use cloth ones, and disposables are always choose at hand. Taking a mask off to sneeze is what makes them pointless.

I'm so sick of those cloth condoms. I am starting to think they don't help at all.

Are you saying a mask can slip off the area it protects if your nose isn't girthy enough?

*In before a big girth nose argument.

I thought folks were talking about Jewish persecution in the other other CoVid thread. I'll check the sub-forum.

To be fair, i think you use N95 or P100 masks which do filter incoming air and require training/fit testing for maximum effectiveness. Medical masks to which the rest of us use do not filter incoming air and basically act as a splatter shield of vapour. I think studies have shown that while not very effective on their own, medical masks with social distancing do work well. Its about limiting the distance/amount of the virus thats projected to others.
If I was talking about N95's or P100's (which nobody supplies or uses), I would have said so, but we are talking about medical masks so I'm talking about medical masks.
We don't generally use N95's unless we are doing things that generate aerosols, so nebulizers, manual ventilation, intubation, CPAP, etc. For every other encounter with C+ or suspected C+ we primarily use regular surgical masks. Obviously we have the option to use N95 so some people still choose to for every encounter.

I'll repost this picture from before, this is the tested protection level for our actual medical grade masks. Obviously the stuff they'll sell at the dollar store, or Costco, or Canadian Tire is probably more closely related to paper towel then a filtration mask. These do filter, they have a rating for filtration, and they fit quite nicely to your face and seal at your nose bridge really well.

I am still using the free masks I got from McDonald's over a year ago. I have used 7 out of the 25 pack.

I know they don't do much, but I also need to buy groceries.
I've not been hassled at a single grocery store(or just about anywhere else for that matter) for not wearing a mask since the mandate came back in. I played along with the first round of make believe, but I'm not participating in round 2.

    Florida's Surgeon General - Masks Don't Work

-I want you to step back from a moment from what you hear constantly on the TV and very briefly in terms of the data that supports masked use in kids and mandates for masking kids, it's very weak, and that's a fact

-there's a substantial gap in the quality of data out there supporting masking kids yielding any benefit for kids whatsoever

-In Florida, we're going to stay close to the data , and the data do not support any clinical benefit for children in schools with ask mandates. The highest quality of data finds no evidence of benefit

    - As a parent, putting a mask, hearing parents and what they're going through. These are impossible situations parents are being put in. Putting a mask on the face of your child, that's a Parent's decision, it's not a Schools, school Boards, Governors, Government's decision. It's no one else's decision except for the parent.

    - the US Secretary of Education, he did some tweet, follow the data on the masks and he cited a few studies, he cited one Study from North Carolina that said forced masking of kids work, but there was no control group because that was required in every school so they said it worked without comparing it against what if you didn't do that and ppl pointed that out immediately, then he cited a Study from Wisconsin about it and the researcher of the Study immediately responded to the Tweet and said we found no conclusive evidence on the forced masking

@redline I did some mathematical modelling this afternoon when I had time between my financial planning side business and sending negative reps to TPIM. Let me know your thoughts.
The Hospitalizations trend is incredibly positive right now. The math is irrefutable.

Here is where the data was coming from, no calculation needed as AHS does that already. 123.6/100k today for CoC

I agree with your anonymous rep abuse behaviour.

Is there a business credit or something for business to redo the exterior of their business? I see Harvey, Safeway, CIBC and probably more all have newly revamped exteriors.
If this is the wrong thread please move to the covid support sub thread.

I think by Dec 5 we are below 350 hospitalizations. That's "out of this shit" enough for me.

Sweet. Take it to the bank. When do you predict wave 5 shutdowns to begin?
