There's more sick people in my office than healthy ones.
Superheroes on all downtown office floors. Guaranteed.

The amount of sick people I see in a day is pretty amazing too. Apparently its ok to go into other people's establishment and cough and sneeze all over the place.

You would think the publics attitude towards coming in to work sick like an asshole and getting everyone else sick would have changed because of covid.

But nope. Back to usual jackassery and the covid body isn't even cold yet.

I know what you're saying, but it's also peak allergy season.
Sneezing will happen, even when medicated.
I get crushed for two months every year right about now.

I only wish it was during peak allergy season. I've been seeing this throughout the whole pandemic. Sick people don't stay at home, rules don't apply to them if they don't think they are THAT sick. Hahah

I've heard a shit ton of excuses.

You'd be surprised how many people don't get paid unless they are at work. If i was in that situation I wouldn't stay home unpaid because of a few sniffles to fLaTteN tHe CuRvE.

Having said that this year has been brutal for allergies and pollen.

I'm full remote at this point, so it doesn't really apply anymore, but I'd happily name and shame people that came into the office sick.
I've been of that mentality since I first started in the corporate world, and I went in sick, because I had an hourly/retail mentality at that time. My boss basically kicked me out of the office, and told me not to come back until I was healthy, because he couldn't afford for me to take out the whole dept. It's stuck with me since then.

Yet, according to this website, we are just a little under the peaks of wave 2 and 3 in terms of hospitalizations:

Yeah I worked with a guy who had a premie baby, like on the verge of viable, and he mentioned that if that kid got a cold, it would die. Thinking about that really changed how I think about the value of being in an office environment while contagious.

My boss came in sick with all symptoms and took out our whole department (except for me of course). He said he tested negative the night before . One co-worker was in the hospital for a few days.

It’s hilarious to me that there are people out there who still think Covid is a thing.

    Stay home stay safe.

Well don't throw your mask away yet, still needed to fly.

As for hospitalization, I don't see that number going anywhere but as long as it trends down and hospitals are not overran, it's tolerable. If you are at risk, get your 4th shot.

You are mistaking people who believe with people who are eager to exploit the people who believe.
