My apologies if this has been mentioned in here but how do they shut down the grey eagle drive in because theyre worried about people getting out to mingle but they can have malls open which is a free for all for mingling. The drive in told ahs to take a hike and re opened but you cant sit in the back of your truck or have your hatch open

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

It's been mentioned a lot. Not specifically about the drive-in, but every time someone realizes the government has no idea WTF they are doing, and most of the restrictions make zero sense.

The answer is the Chewbacca defense.

Why this and why not that is a game you can't win. Go mentally limp, get your shot, drink some beers.

The Indians were PISSED that the casinos were shut down while the Govt opened up a major online gabling operation.

Taiwan and Singapore got smashed by the rona! Went up overnight
Taiwan let their guard down. Indians love the low cost Taiwanese airlines and they reduce pilot quarantine from 14 to 3 days. Rona spread at "tea houses" that pilots frequents and spread from there.

Given the bad news of AZ and their medical staff refusing it, vaccination has been slow or non-existent.

It seems like Biden might finally be sick of Trudeau's border nonsense and planning to open the US border on June 22. Great news since this will put immense pressure on the Liberals as they won't be able to force tens of thousands of people with right of entry into mandatory hotel stays and checking up on them after they arrive won't be feasible.

I thought the border reopening has to be agreed on both sides? Yay though!

I'd have thought that would piss off the Millworkers Union a lot more.

The US can open their border any time they wish, they don’t need agreement from Canada to do so. Until now, the closure has been a joint agreement.

It's extended to June 21st last week. The framework on how to cross will probably be revealed in the next few weeks. I don't think there are any unilateral movement here. Just waiting for the framework to align (along with EU) so we can use 1 instead of 20 different rule sets.

Medically, there is no point for the non-essential ban of crossing after June 21st. If anyone has not got the 1st dose by then, onus is on them.

If anything, looks like we are going to have way better vaccination numbers than US and it's almost next to impossible for Biden to hit 70% by July.

Let's say JT doesn't do anything.

Does that mean, as a Canadian in Canada, you can enter into the US but not return?

Stage 3 No restrictions starting around June 28!

I had a feeling he was gonna one up sask and bc’s plan. I like the plan and makes total sense. Let’s see if it holds though.

COVID hotel and home isolation may still stand on return. US won't bar you from entry tho, which is why that Blackfeet vaccination clinic got cancelled by the border agents since vaccination wasn't categorized as essential.

12+ 70%. That's a bold move. But given we are already at 58%, and given how busy Brentwood was when I was there today, I'm sure we will crush it.

June 1: restaurants and hair partially open. Outdoor gather up to 10. Minor sports.
~June 15: Fewer restrictions on the stuff that was opened, plus gyms & theatres. WFH restriction (LoL) lifted.
    ~June 30: balls out.

*Need to meet vaccination targets (almost certain).
**Need to keep hospital numbers below target (much less certain).

Vaccination targets are pretty conservative but I'm not mad about it.
