The US right now is still ahead of Canada in deaths per day. Even with 50+% of their eligible populations having vaccines and "The best medical industry in the world" they have more people die every day right now than Canada at it's "worst".

Calgary is basically the covid hotspot of the country (Maybe 2nd to Toronto? Not sure anymore) and we've had 16 deaths in the past 2 weeks. I really do hope we get this shit under control as it's getting worst and its embarrassing to see Alberta fuck it up this bad but AB/Canada being bad for the last 1-2 months pales in comparison to the shitshow the US was the past year.

On a side note wtf is up with Edmonton? They have 60% of the active cases Calgary does but the same hospitalized and ICU? Is Calgary just doing better to manage things or does Edmonton take a lot of transfers from up north maybe?
Edmonton hospitals service a significantly larger area than Calgary's do

My statement applies to the topic at hand, which is Covid. Don't try to wrangle my words into your narrative :P

And don't you ever compare me to the fuckin' CBC again, ya hear?
    Yarr!

And no, people don’t care about their health, this was evident way before Covid. A fat-tax is long overdue for our healthcare system.

What we really need is premiums for people with self inflicted sports injuries hitting emerge making up 35% of our patients.

Not enough soy in their diets.

Massive anti-lockdown protest in Montreal but not a peep from our Communist broadcasters.

Are we testing more than others? Seems odd that we’re destroying everyone in cases per day but nothing out of the ordinary in ICU or deaths. Wish I had more time to do a real analysis of who’s actually the worst.

It was established pages and weeks ago that cases do not matter anymore. All the vulnerable have long been vaccinated and those who are positive are less likely to be admitted to ICU.

I've got 2 symptomatic friends in bc who don't meet the criteria for testing according to their local health authorities.

Yes there's a total clusterf*ck of testing requirements eligible symptoms, testing after "close-contact" etc across the country. These really are an apples to oranges comparison - so we have no real way to know.

Here's the Bowden rodeo from a couple days ago. Not sure if you are talking about another Darwin event or not...

Ya that would explain why BC looks better in the eyes of social media and the news. From what I’m told from friends and coworkers in BC, shit is fucked there. Hospitals are full and they have to go to far away hospitals to seek treatment.

Everyone seems to be enjoying Alberta being the worst narrative right now, probably so they can blame Kenney. So stupid how politicized everything is.

Those are the exactly same kinda people I see in the registry asking dumb questions and causing a ruckus due to their own ignorance.

    No wonder BC hates us.

I bet you nothing happens, just like every hyper-biblical death and case count prediction that Alberta or Canada for that matter released. 20,000 Canadians wIlL dIe iN mArCh iF wE d0 nOtHiNg.

I don’t know what hyper-biblical is, but I like the sound of it
