Seeing how 2.8million adults die every year due to obesety alone, 4 million isn't THAT horrific. China is and always be the breeding ground for infectious diseases, this won't be the last one anytime soon. Depending on the severity we will have to make a choice as a society. Either let the virus do its thing, like before modern medicine, or go into financial and societal meltdown everytime someone eats a snake or bat in China and infects the whole world. 7 billion people on this planet, we won't do extinct. Yet.
