Look, I like doughnuts, but like fucking hell I'm idling through some 2 hour snake to get one. People are weird.

So you can drive clear across a province for sugary fried dough... but can’t self-isolate at a cottage due to strain on small communities.... like the ones you drive through while driving from every corner of the province to get fucking doughnuts.... I thought I understood the PC crowd... I do not

I’d rather spend 2 hours learning how to make my own donuts

I do have an unusually low tolerance for lineups though. Have only stood in one through this whole crisis, and that was memex when I really needed a monitor.

Been covered before, serology test is to see if you are fit to go out/back to work. It's not for testing you have COVID or not since you don't generate antibody until 7-10 days after infection.

It's also crucial to use it to test for how long anitbody lasts if we start now on recovered patients and track them over the next 6-18 months. It could be short lived.
The most important function of a serology test at the moment is to determine prevalence in the population. Once we understand the denominator, we can better optimize out policy decisions.

China is such a massive piece of shit.

n the six days after top Chinese officials secretly determined they likely were facing a pandemic from a new coronavirus, the city of Wuhan at the epicenter of the disease hosted a mass banquet for tens of thousands of people; millions began traveling through for Lunar New Year celebrations.

President Xi Jinping warned the public on the seventh day, Jan. 20. But by that time, more than 3,000 people had been infected during almost a week of public silence, according to internal documents obtained by The Associated Press and expert estimates based on retrospective infection data.

    Six days.

That's how China works. As much as Xi is ruling with iron fist, the system allows this to happen.

But the official that allows the banquet to happen is no different than pastors that insist to continue Sunday services in churches. Or what Trump has been doing until early March. Trying to downplay the virus.

As much as those 6 days are crucial, US and rest of the world got 3 months head start if US intel to be believed. As much as WHO is sucking up to China and not realizing numbers ain't real, the rest of the world is also ill prepared.

Some reports that US may have had intel as early as November. If that is true, it might have been more widespread in China than previously believed.

"There is no question that the Wuhan government underestimated the disease,” says a senior adviser to China’s central government, who declined to be named. “The mayor of Wuhan has neither the expertise nor the willingness to follow health experts’ advice. His concern is that an escalation in disease prevention may hurt the local economy and social stability.”
The origin of the spread basically is caused by the same logic that many in western world think we should end the lock down.

Lets not forget these are likely the same people who want to reduce carbon emissions. However doughnut lineups are exempt.

That’s what I’m interested in, antibodies.

We have a lot more people who have Been exposed then originally thought, and this is proof.

This should be available to all citizens right now to try.

This woman needs to stick to nursing, she is not a good story teller.

Alright. Maybe I am not so on board with cutting WHO funding immediately, but will be once we get out of this.

Really though, Trump cutting the WHO for a reason such as understating death potential? I mean, in Alberta we shoot shovel and shut up.

Very strange way to go about things. Lets defund the red cross while we are at it.
