South Korea isn't back in shutdown mode according to that article. They are realizing that some businesses with high concentrations cause outbreaks.

Looks like South Korea is back in shut down mode.

SOUTH KOREA, HAILED FOR PANDEMIC RESPONSE, BACKTRACKS ON REOPENING AFTER COVID-19 CASES JUMP (copied in caps, too lazy to lowercase it)

Looks like Covids will be a part of life like the yearly flu. Lets see how long we can keep doing this without a complete economic collapse.

I don't know how old you are but back when I was young kids still had allergies. But back then they died from them, now they got epipens and such.
I'm younger than you far as I know, and allergies have most definitely exploded since even when I was a kid. Peanut/nut allergies specifically went really.......... nuts there in the 90's

Well after a quick trip to Lowes today, I have absolutely no doubts that a second peak is quickly forthcoming, with another lockdown happening shortly after, further harming the economy.

    People are so fucking dumb.

The second peak is a virtual certainty and I think accepted. The second lockdown is not as certain. I think the gubbermints have accepted the second peak and would not attempt to go backwards to more restrictions.

The response to any increase will be targeted not blanket.

True, but I think it's going to show up sooner than expected. I just hope I can get a haircut before more lockdowns happen.

Every time I try to go out in public I'm further convinced I should stay at home. The level of hysteria and over-reaction really degrades my overall opinion of the human race.

Pfft, just grow it out and donate it to a cancer cause that makes real human hair wigs. I'm well over two years since my last cut and this virus is just aiding my eventual donation.

There is really only one thing I fear. Trump catching (which is inevitable) and not doing the Boris.

Then I'm for sure changing my hairstyle to James Bond wavy - just to look a little more European. Shoulda bought some blue contact lenses, might have a chance if there is a re-opening lull.

In my town the larger stores like Superstore and SuperCT's limit number of people inside, while smaller ones where there is less room to distance, don't have limits of people. Arrows on the floors are enough I guess. So larger stores with more room = people limited. Smaller stores with less room = free for all. Everyone is within 3-4ft of each other, while on golf courses the cups need to be raised so people don't graze their hands on the covid pin.

It's a good thing they are world leaders against climate change and Canada should look to them for what we need to do!
