Middling is better than meddling, but you can have both in many managers. Middling meddling middle-mangers.

You can use statistics to prove anything, 45% of all people know that.
You're wrong, my numbers actually say 69%.

So was there a defining point in your life SportEL when you went full loon? Or was it more a gradual slide into madness?

So R-value is higher than recently, and it's been over 1
for a long time. What gives? Current R is 1.12 apparently.

With more than 1/3 of adults and virtually all high risk people with at least one vaccination dose, this spread must be in the "unwashed masses" and kids? Is that sound logic?

Good reason for eligible people to rush for the jab, since clearly there's a significant portion of the population that are taking no precautions to prevent the spread.

I’m anxious to see what the R does in two days. That 1.12 is from almost a week ago.

It’s true, people lie about following restrictions and have no personal accountability or integrity.

It doesn’t apply to them, if it’s only slightly against the rules. A lot of things people use to justify their actions.

At this point, I hope every anti vaxxer accidentally falls on a needle! And it’s filled with Pfizer!
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

I think Killramos used the term 'mental gymnastics' to justify whatever it is they're doing. Currently any of that is Olympic gold quality.

Same for how intelligent everyone is regarding vaccination and drugs. Guess most now have multiple doctorates for their blogs.

Do we know where we'd all be as a society if no one heavily relied on science and the scientific process?
    Probably 3rd world.
Arguably, scientific advancement is the initial basis for achieving 1st world status.
But let's give that all away and go back to church or tribalism with "so hear a friend or a friend on a blog said..."

Recent podcast I listened to a doctor said, "they all talk about AI, this or AI that. All we really need right now is I, singular I.

Depends on how many clicks this article gets.

In BC, there’s no outrage like we see in Alberta because of the large number of people that wants the UCP out, and will use anything they can portray as a negative to drive the narrative further. Posts on social media with poor covid practices in BC are mostly ignored aside from a few replies, while every incident in Alberta is amplified on every platform with tons of commentary. Articles portraying Alberta are shared multiple times a day. It’s good business for news outlets so I don’t blame them for driving more of these stories. Even when BC was busted gaming the numbers last year went mostly ignored, but at least they’ve updated the weekly data to show the before and after.

It’s frustrating, yet fascinating to watch both the business side as well as the people reactionary side of it all.

While ucp are getting hammered from people who would rather be more locked down AND more open, bc seems to have a lot more people who would rather not be wrong when it comes to the government they choose, too much risk of not saving face?

That and the opposition generally isn’t the most internet savvy demographics.

    It’s the weed

That and they were already used to sitting in their basements not working. And hating their neighbours.

Pandemic is a dream come true for British Columbians. Same shit, just with more government handouts.

Nenshi called mad protests “thinly veiled white supremacy,” so much for “this is the city that doesn’t care who your parents are” from his original campaign
