Sure glad the vaccines work though. Why is it that when you get a vaccine for polio, nobody gets polio, yet 95% of the people in my area getting covid right now are all "up to date" on their "vaccines"?
    Because polio doesn't mutate.

Incorrect. The mutation rate for polio is higher than viruses like HIV, that have no vaccine.

I think he's trolling, because he answered his question at the end with the first sentence of his post.

    I could be wrong.

    *Edit I am wrong.

Does it really matter if you are sick at this point, why need a covid test to validate it. Sick is sick, stay home or away from other people...OR....wear a mask.

Maybe some art facilities require it before participating?

Ok, relatively speaking, it doesn't mutate compared to coronavirus's.

There is no value in testing and no one should do it anymore, it just perpetuates the hysteria.

Yup. Surprisingly people have not learnt to do this.

That said, signing up my folks on 4th. Whatever wave is coming isn't as mild as BA 4/5. Singapore, the only DGAF country in Asia with 95% double MRNA doses is seeing high hospitalization again.

I thought AHS stop testing without GP referral anyway.

Well, two of my crew of 9 went down today with covid. Another fell off a ladder yesterday and hurt herself. Another is on scheduled vacation. So I'm essentially down to 2/3 of my team for the week.

Not looking for any sympathy or comments. Just wanted to vent that I am sooooo fucking sick of Covid by this point.

I'm also down 4/9, all to COVID like symptoms. All started on the weekend. Not surprising tho given how nuts Stampede was.

My immune system must be awesome, I been to all the same vendor events and lunches with them last 2 weeks and got nothing.... as far as I know.

^From an article I read, these latest variants are 'made' (by nature) to dodge both natural and vaccinated based antibodies aimed at previous virus strains. That's the nature of a virus that mutates to survive. I've read because of the high % of the world that's vaccinated, the sheer number of people have allowed the virus to pivot and mutate into these new strains quickly. I'm not sure what the end-game is here, but it seems like a never ending jab according to WHO.

"We observed 3-fold reductions of neutralizing antibody titers induced by vaccination and infection against BA4 and BA5 compared with BA1 and BA2, which are already substantially lower than the original COVID-19 variants," Dr. Dan Barouch, an author of the paper and director of the Center for Virology and Vaccine Research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, wrote in an email to CNN." https://www.cnn.com/2022/06/22/healt...ine/index.html

    I've had delta and omicron.

Yeah, I think it was pretty much expected Stampede would be a spreader. 4 out of 9 - I should stop complaining! Unless they both caught it from another team member who may have been asymptomatic, my crew oddly caught it at the same time from difference sources which is a little surprising.

As I've mentioned on here before, I run a retail online business and the orders aren't slowing down, so a week behind is going to really challenge our delivery mandate.

It's only work. It's only work. It's only work....

sewage data says cases are up. Hospitalizations are low and ICU is lower relative to past waves. Both tend to lag case counts by any measure.
