Another update from the weekend. - Total cases 10,390 (110 on July 24, 103 on July 25, 91 on July 26)

Not great but that's 12 days around 100-130 cases (give or take a couple outliers). Calgary only had +5 active over the weekend when you count the recovered cases so at least it's relatively stable.

I hope we see a decline the next few days since its been ~2 weeks since Stampede week. I know there wasn't any formal events but between the gatherings for fireworks and a ton of invites I got for underground parties I'm pretty sure that week was rough for things. On the upside now that we are getting close to 2 weeks at these new numbers we'll start getting bigger recovered numbers too, so hopefully our active cases plateaus now.

Young people do seem to not care tho

Far too much fear mongering going on with this uptick. Even with this rise in cases, after pretty much fully reopening, we are still much better than we were 6 weeks into full lockdown. But I agree, younger people seem to not give a flying f........I called a Made By Marcus outbreak last week when we drove by and 20-30 jerk offs still lined up outside with no distancing what so ever....its mediocre ice cream that you can by at Co-op, get a life youngins'

Probably completely unrelated but: Illegal border crossing ends with 2 1/2h river float chase.

I disagree. It is 100% related.

I don’t know which is worse. Lining up at made by Marcus. Or calling them to see how big the lineup is.

I went to village in brittania on the weekend and most people there were wearing masks while ordering, maybe 2-3 groups waiting at a time from what I saw.

We went to that one on Saturday, around 9pm. No masks on anyone, and lineup of about 6 groups, but each group was being pretty distanced from eachother.

On the train, mask compliance is nearly 100% for Asians, less than 50% for whites and 0% for Natives. Today a fight broke out among a group of Natives, started on the train right next to me and spilled outside.

Yeah I may continue wearing masks indefinitely.
As someone who took the train through the NE for 3 years I am very thankful for company supplied parking.
If it ever goes away I will be paying for my own.
    Fuck the train.

Went to Superstore last night for baby stuff. I saw 1 senior wearing a mask, 1 employee wearing a mask, and 1 younger lady wearing mask. No F's were given by anyone else. I was surprised honestly. From full out PPE being worn by majority of people just 2 months ago to this.

Lol I saw the opposite last night. Everyone had masks except for one senior hacking up a storm. Needless to say, full 180.
