I just always assumed there wasn’t much point to being a gym rat aside from chasing tail.

We should close all gyms either way because dead people linked to gyms is a tragedy. But let’s completely ignore any other form of death, like ODs, because druggies deserved it. Covid deaths matter mostest.

Close society forever after this is over because life is too dangerous and your actions can lead to death. Stay home, stay alive.
Overdoses aren't contagious. You aren't going to overdose by doing your regular day to day activities. Overdosing has an element of choice to it. COVID does not. There are programs to deal with the opioid crisis (regardless of how you agree or disagree with the effectiveness, I hand out tons of Narcan kits daily, send people to facilities that have programs to assist people, etc). Its a false equivalency that needs to stop getting trumpeted. Just like your previous posts of the suicide rates being out of control, when statistically for 2020 the rate was down, the narrative you're creating is incorrect

And you're refusing to acknowledge that the mental health impacts haven't been the same for absolutely everyone.
Going to the gym is part hobby, part health. You can find health in different ways, and find another hobby that doesn't spread covid.

If a person's mental health is THAT bad, they should just go ahead and break the rules and socialize. A table of six "we're roommates bro!" people at a pub is less dangerous than 50 people throwing sweat, and spit at eachother. A friend who was already depressed got worse, severely worse after a recent revelation. We broke the rules to help them, and we have no regrets about that, nor should anyone so long it's what's needed and not just what's wanted.

Here is some ExtraSlow and killramos fan fiction:

    Title: The First Time

ExtraSlow: Hehe.. I didn't think you would actually show..

killramos: I would never do that to you, especially not on our first date.

    ExtraSlow: *blushes*

    killramos: Hey, are you okay?

ExtraSlow: ... yes. I'm just so happy. To finally meet.

killramos: I am too. You look great.

ExtraSlow: *cheeks go even more red* I'm glad you think so...

killramos: hey, let's go sit down, together.

*killramos takes ExtraSlow's hand by surprise and walks her to the park bench where they sit*

ExtraSlow: Your hands, they are so soft... Just like the photo...

killramos: It is because I waited for this moment, for so, so long. You are so soft as well.

ExtraSlow: This is the best day.

killramos: Agreed. Hey, are you hungry? I have a lot of pork chops at home that I can make for us.

ExtraSlow: mmm.. just a little bit. And I love pork chops, they are the best cut.

killramos: ... Yeah. Hey, let's go, I'll walk to you my car.

ExtraSlow: Oh my, pork chops cooked on a BBQ w/ red knobs and I get to ride in the Sierra AT4!!

killramos: Actually.. about the truck, and the red knobs...

    *killramos explains*

    ExtraSlow: NANI?!?!

You are correct, but these are not 1-on-1 sessions and are only labeled private sessions to purely skirt the restrictions. Po-tay-to po-tah-to. The email was vaguely written, but i will know more Monday when they are taking bookings once again. Also, you can tell it is purely monetarily motivated by the fact that they are not automatically pausing billing until the lockdown ends, so you have to fill out a form and have them process it if you wish your account to be frozen.
Oh yeah. My gym had been doing that during all of stage 1 the first time. I call it a VERY dark grey interpretation of the rule.

Anytime fitness converting to “retail” is old news. Their head office gave them a stern pee pee slap
    Fallow the guidelines you cucks.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

I mean you kind of undermined the effectiveness of your explanation when you literally said you go there to socialize get a grip.
I guess so, but I mean, socializing in this context means "speaking to another human being in person". I haven't had to go grocery shopping, or interact with humans aside from phone calls otherwise.

I know a lot of people are anti-shutdown but ICU numbers do be creeping up.

    March 9th: 31 in ICU
    April 2nd: 69 in ICU
    April 9th: 88 in ICU

Almost tripled in a month, up 27% in the past week. ICU numbers starting to look like stonks.

Liquor stores haven’t been locked down right?

Too bad the weather blows this weekend. Nothing a fire can’t fix I suppose.
