    1.25 so far this morning.
It took about 3.5 months to get to 500k.
About 1.5-2 weeks to get to 1M.
Then about 2 days to get to 1.25M.

The good news is that Spain is down slightly two days in a row.

India is very hush-hush about what's going on, they are probably just not testing and reporting numbers.

A ‘super spreader’ in India may have given 40,000 people coronavirus

Isn't their population a lot more dense than Chinas without that communist authoritative rule and lockdown?

Really following the deaths per million stuff. Italy and Spain at ~250/million. USA so far at 25/million and Canada still only 6/million, but both will go up for sure as both countries are in early stages.
Wonder where it ends up for Canada and USA? 100?

Thank-you for the links. I will definitely take a look at these.

I have been reviewing the radiology literature in regards to the relevant imaging around COVID-19. I have received regular radiology literature updates online.

In fact, I had just read the original RSNA article about the COVID-19 acute hemorrhagic necrotizing encephalopathy case a few days before you linked a report on it.

If you look at videos coming out of places like India and Pakistan, people are still being crammed into small areas, some people are rioting, barely anyone is wearing mouth protection, and hygiene is pretty brutal over there; they just aren't accustomed to washing their hands. Then as you mentioned, I doubt they have a robust testing plan.

Unless the ambient heat is reducing the spread, I imagine the virus is absolutely spreading in places like that FAR faster than they claim and they are likely to face a pretty massive outbreak too.

    Certainly.

I really appreciate you sharing this link. I will forward the link to my colleagues as well, since having a repository of a large number of positive cases is a great way of learning the variety of imaging features. I am also involved with a global health radiology organization that supports low resource countries and this will be very helpful to them since many of these countries do not have access to the advanced imaging and are reliant on x-rays. Having this information will make a difference, I am very grateful.

I just read. You all do the real work. I recall perhaps back in late Jan that China had to allow diagnosis through x-rays and CT because there were not enough test kits. I presume that is going to occur in a lot of countries. Good luck!

They are being hit hard because the President actively downplayed this and encouraged people to go outside. Thailand had the same message as well from their King.
Brazil/Ecuador is going to squeeze Colombia and Venezuela.

Wonder how many spring breakers in US literally killed their grandparents because they brought it back to their home from the beaches. Bet you there are at least a few and they did not even know it.

Its really bad if you look at the state of NY as its own entity because its nearly half of the US deaths. 4,159 deaths per 19.5 million people gives you 213 deaths/million which is basically already at Italy/Spain levels and it's still picking up speed there.

Ha. I figured I wasn't the only one with a renewed interest in the game. I regret to inform everyone that 9 times out of 10, we all die.

I don't know about that. Starting in China I can kill 99% pretty easy but somehow Canada or Iceland always fucking survives somewhat. Idk what I'm doing wrong

Nooo Boris! 10 days with symptoms for a healthy person definitely sounds like this is a new type of beast.
