As Hinshaw said, we need to look at the full picture. Hospitalization has not stopped. Just breached 700 cases for non-ICU. ICU seems to have levelled off but it's just matter of time a fraction of non-ICU patients get sent there if the hospitalization number doesn't stop growing.

That's a good trend, it send less ppl to hospitals but it's not slowing down fast enough. I think we need to get back to 3% ish before we can take a breather and make sure staying there after Christmas.

    Active case count going down?

I’m a simple man so I like that number, are more people recovering than getting infected?

We have been at ~20k active for the last week. Peaked at 21k, currently at 20,649.

    Again good trend.

The only numbers with 0 sign of flattening out is hospitalization.

Should this be a separate thread?

CRA has simplified rules that allow for people who are working from home due to the pandemic to qualify for a deduction. Not as much as those who get to normally claim under the T2200, but still better than nothing!

Under the new rules, those who worked from home more than 50 per cent of the time over a period of at least four consecutive weeks in 2020 as a result of the pandemic will be now be eligible for the deduction.

Eligible employees who opt for the simplified deduction will be able to claim $2 for each day they worked from home during that period, plus any other days they worked from home because of the pandemic, up to a maximum of $400. Their employers will not have to sign a special form.

More than one person living at the same address can claim the deduction as long as each one qualifies for it.

Edit: missed the 'option 2' and not using simplified method, not sure if the $400 cap applies to that.

I think this has been brought up in the workplace COVID thread. It doesn't say T2200 is being superseded by this yet as far as I understand. But given T2200 is something employer has to approve, I assume this is for someone to get $400 on a less stringent rule set and without employer sign off.

If you use this method, your employer is not required to complete Form T2200S,
Declaration of Conditions of Employment for Working at Home Due to COVID-19, and you are not required to keep documents to support
your claim. See Option 1 below for more information. If you do not use this method, you must have your employer complete Form T2200S
and you must keep your supporting documents.

Oh right there's another covid19 thread. This one is pertaining to the virus itself. Carry on nothing to see here...

Imagine being the reporter that took down Pornhub.
Should receive more death threats than the idiot that caught that Chicago Cubs fly ball a few years back in the playoffs.
