Got to get a beater with a BC place like my family.

I believe we will start treating people with a vaccine candidate quite early. End of the year or early next.

This virus is a good candidate for vaccine treatment.

For real? Everyone and everything would starve in the Columbia valley if it wasn't for Alberta tourist dollars being spent there. FTG!

Lol you clearly haven’t spent nearly enough time in Okanogan or Windermere valley.

They genuinely hate Albertans there, nothing rational about it.

The real gems are the Albertans who go out for weeks at a time and then complain about how busy it gets when the other Albertans come out on the weekends.

Can confirm Columbia Valley ppl are posting and pleading to close highway to Alberta.
Everyone I know going out there are getting high pressure to leave and not come back until virus is over. The bc ppl claim we'll ruin their health system.
But my guess is. You're self isolated out there for the most part especially this time of year. No boating or golf yet.

The way I read it is still in trial phase. And given we don't know how long antibody lasts, not quite sure how reliable this test will be. Also, having antibody is also not a confirmation you stop being contagious.

It will be a good tool to track it going forward to learn more about COVID19 but sure way to determine if you are ready to go back into the crowd.
This was a good article on the antibody tests:
    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/02/h...body-test.html

Biggest takeaway for me was this part:
The test delivers results in about 15 minutes. But just having antibodies does not guarantee immunity from the coronavirus.

The new test looks only for the presence of the antibodies and delivers a qualitative yes or no answer — it does not say how well any antibodies are working, said Dr. Angela Rasmussen, a virologist at Columbia University in New York.

Some people who are infected produce powerful immune responses; others do not. And scientists do not know how long immunity to this virus may last.
that said, i think it's still a good step to move towards even if it isn't perfect.

In the Okanagan they hate Vancouverites too. Basically anyone that has pumped up the cost of housing in the area is on their shit list, but Albertans stick out due to their license plates. Most of them are people who wanted to drop out of the rat race and live in a low CoL shanty town doing odd jobs, and now even those places are shockingly expensive. Doing construction projects out there is a pain in the ass as you either need to bring in out-of-towners and pay LOA and ridiculous rents, or pay ridiculous hourly wages for locals that make it their mission to go slow and generally hate your guts

Where can I go where I won't be hated for the appearance of my license plate?

I mean call me crazy, but the out of towners who own property there are still paying local taxes, bring in money from outside of the community and help prop up those towns.... but yeah, stay away dickheads.

I'll tell you where: Someplace warm.

A place where the beer flows like wine.

Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.

A bunch of peeps on mine are suggesting the pathways around the lake are turned into one way paths because they are not wide enough to pass people while maintaining 6ft distance

Thankfully the FB group for our lake community has been great. Just lots of pics of wildlife haha.

But it’s a ‘Berta lake so less toxic?

We usually spend a couple of weekends a summer camping in the Columbia Valley near Fairmont and I definitely feel the glare but these fucks best know their role, without the ALBERTA tourist money the whole economy of that valley would be fucked. Okanagan is a little different as there are far more full timers living there (I think).
