For adults, I think you legally have to isolate regardless of test results for 10 days, which is a bit crazy.
I don't think so, unless you know you were exposed to the virus.

"If you tested negative and have no known exposure to the virus, you are not legally required to isolate. However, it is important to stay home until your symptoms resolve so that you do not infect others."

Work policy wise though, even if I am symptom free, it will be mandatory 10 days unless I have a negative test result before then.

Either way, that sucks on the time to get results.

Anyone get tested recently if they had some runny nose or congestion? I have a bit of the sniffles and minor sore throat so I'm legally required to self-isolate and I have a test scheduled for tomorrow. But I was curious on the turnaround time for a test result? If it's 7-10 days, that's crazy long so I'm hoping it's sooner, especially if you signed up via for text alert or MyHealth.
Last week one of my kids got tested on Monday or Tuesday (can't recall) and we had the answer in 48 hours. Results show she's a giant pain in the ass but negative on 'Rona.

My boss had the same thing crop up last Tuesday, got tested that afternoon, knew his results Thursday (negative).

Gonna be a lot of that shit lingering here with all the smoke we have had catching up to people along with the brisk morning air.

Phew, fingers crossed they work on weekends then, because if I get a result on Saturday or Sunday, that would clear me to head back to work next week.

This whole runny nose thing pisses me off.

I my allergies are fired up full bore right now, and the smoke the other day did not help.

I know I do not have Covid, and have a track record of repeatable allergies each year at this time.

But heaven forbid I go in public and sneeze!

I'm ready for this junk to be over.

I don't know why I am even bothering paying for daycare if a runny nose is excluded. no covid but can't go back? 10 days in now.

Allergies have been bizarre this year. Most years i have to take a reactine every day starting from spring until end of summer, but this year they didn't start until about 3 weeks ago and still going strong. I'm blaming it on the smoke but who knows.

Its a bit of a catch 22 with things like NeilMed - i find it makes the symptoms worse - but the saline rinses seem to not.

Reactine is the worst for me, does absolutely nothing. Doesn't do anything for symptoms or side effects...

I've been through all the allergy drugs this year, name brand and generic hunting for stuff that works.

Benadryl is my kryptonite, even the non drowsy knocks me out

Haha me too. Took one at 7 am out of desperation while camping this year and the whole morning was a total right off. Using them at night now.

Nose rinse and spray in the morning with a kirland generic pill in the am as well

Ya, I can't do Reactine either, but you should try Claritin.

Or better yet, the extra strength anti-histamine at Costco is the absolute best. I notice it work very quickly, it's relatively cheap for the amount you get, and I eat it on an empty stomach all the time and feel great.

Benadryl is pretty bad for me too, but I might as well give it a try.

I have 2 cats I am mildly allergic to (high correlation between symptoms and waking up with a cat beside my head). So I’m always game to try something new

Both of our children had tests back to back weekends. Booked Saturday morning, got in at 3pm both times, had the results around 2pm the next day. They are faster for symptomatic people.
