I think they told me they'd call with results in 2-5 days. A week later my GP called with the good news.

You might want to check with GP... Guessing AHS is overwhelmed.
Sister-in-law got tested last Saturday, and got her results Monday. Either some labs are busier than others, or they lost them.

This. With the exception of one back in March, anyone i've known to be tested have received their results in less than 48 hours (most within 24). And not sure what AndyL is talking about, as testing/ notification has nothing to do with your GP.

Also, anyone can accesse their test result @ https://myhealth.alberta.ca/myhealthrecords

Hah, apparently AHS phoned her with a negative result around 5:45pm. So that's 6 days.

what do you do, just call the GP every day? Seems like a weird process. I guess that's a plan for her on monday. Weirdly, she didn't get any feedback other than "wait for our call".
Honestly for me idgaf, I was at the end of isolation whether I had it or not. My GP happened to see the results for whatever reason, called to let me know.

That's what I'd expect should happen in practice. No offense to the healthlink staff but if they called to say I was positive while symptomatic I would have been calling GP next anyway.

But, I am saying those e-health records things do seem to be working at least a little bit, in that a doctor who didn't know I had been tested - did see the esults and chose to follow up independently of AHS.

As time passes on , I hope more people start to question the whole C19 event.

Were just moving from one (planned, orchestrated) crisis to another.

    2020:

    - impeachment of the orange turnip
    - Iran missile
    - C19 debacle
    - Murder hornets
    - emotion-ladened protests by the marginalized people

Apparently Somalia and Sudan are the next targets - though not sure why - but the Americans are building huge bases there.

I've been thinking about this whole over sanitization of your hands thing. I see this leading to viruses resistant to hand sani and a bigger issue in the future.
Yes. Wash your hands but if these sanitization stations don't go away after this threat, we're all in for something worse than Covid.
Maybe the Sr eInfectious Disease Specialists want to chime in?

No superbugs concern on sanitizer use but watch for sanitizer recalls but industrial grade content.

The world largely shut down based on bad (horrible?) models from the IHME, which turns out to be a nonsense virtue signalling, progressive organization. Yay.

    http://www.healthdata.org/about/raci...c-health-issue

Fighting health inequity means fighting against racism. Black lives matter.

Recent events including the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Manuel Ellis, Tony McDade, James Scurlock, and Ahmaud Arbery testify to the racial injustice that persists across our country and within our communities. We share in the outrage and anguish expressed around the United States in response to the treatment of Black Americans by the police and the toll of police killings. And similar injustices are pervasive in many other parts of the world. We commit to working to produce the evidence that racism and discrimination are critical public health issues that demand an urgent response, wherever they occur.

IHME can and will do more to illuminate the public health impacts of systemic racism. We will undertake research to address racial disparities in a range of areas, including life expectancy, child mortality, education, and economic opportunity. We will expand our work on COVID-19 to specifically examine the differential impacts of the disease by race. And we will make every effort to bring attention to police brutality.

We will do this work while making our own organization more diverse and inclusive.

We are committed to this fight.

    Christopher Murray

    IHME Director

"More research and data are needed to “truly answer” the question of whether the coronavirus can spread widely through asymptomatic carriers, Van Kerkhove added."

With the thousand and thousand of cases world wide, do you not think they have enough data to prove this? Seem kind of silly to say that. It's not like they only have a sample size of 5000.

Edit: Google says 6.8 million cases to date. This doesn't exactly paint the WHO in a positive light

Statistically it has hit the Black community harder than others, who have overwhelmingly been the majority out protesting.
Not here. Seattle protestors are mostly guilted and shamed self-hating white people who believe the whole systemic racism / white supremacy hoax. We are one of the COVID hotspots too so I’m very interested to see how this affects our numbers.

Well initial tests shows that infected will show no symptoms. So it may spread without symptoms which prompted the asymptomatic spread call.

Now there is enough data to show that's very rare. And they are calling it.

People shouldn't associate continuation uncovering of the truth as failures.
