Hmmm. Article touts the official statistic of around 500 deaths but then quotes a crematorium worker who says "at least 100 bodies per day".

Well yeah, you don't think the Chinese government isn't going to pass up this opportunity to get rid of dissenters, do you?

If the source is epoch times, must be taken with a grain of salt. Some of their shit is way beyond tin foil hat BS even for a anti-CCP guy like me.

Looks like it's inevitable that 2019-nCoV will end up killing more people than SARS. Official death toll is already at almost 600 in just 2 months. SARS killed 774 in about a year. SARS had a higher death rate of those infected, but the sheer number of people infected with 2019-nCoV and how quickly it's spreading means it will soon overtake SARS in total deaths.

The whistleblower appears to have been Epstein'd.

Perhaps the government wanted this contagion to spread... Is this China's new 1-child policy in reverse?

No need to wait. Chinese are already coming here to get to the US after the US imposed the entry restrictions on people who've been to China 14 days before trying to enter the US. They're flying here (Air Canada has suspended flights, but Chinese airlines haven't) any way they can and either staying with relatives or in a hotel/AirBnB for 14 days and then continuing on to the US.

Source: I work for an airline.

The sequence of event does point to some inept Epstein attempt.

    - State media said he ded.
    - Hospital said he ain't.
    - State media delete all the tweets (whatever Chinese equivalent) about his death.
    - Hospital said he ded.
    - Mom and Dad still infected in hospital.
    - Prego wife and kid can't be found or reached by media.

All signs points to gov doesn't want people to rally behind this guy and revolt against ppl in charge.

As much as it would be bad if this was bio-engineered. The USA doesn't really have a case for suing Canada (assuming it was engineered in Canada, which is a big assumption) Because the USA never took responsibility for the Nuke damage that probably took 700 million years+ worth of human life off the USA not even counting surrounding nations like Canada.

But this is definitely ZH territory.

This doesn't look good. I'm not sure if the government knows how serious this is, and they are just trying to downplay it to reduce panic. Or if they're really this incompetent, and are just repeating/following what the Communist party and WHO tell them.

When in doubt, cremate. Doesn't necessarily mean that its widespread, just that if you have the capacity to - you run the crematorium at maximum regardless.

Its North America that has underequipped crematory facilities. Asian countries all have overcapacity on crematoriums especially Japan where only the ultra rich can afford a full human sized burial plot.

Truth is somewhere in the middle. One of the Chinese Canadian staying in Wuhan said that official number doesn't include undiagnosed deaths. Bodies that doesnt come from hospital doesn't go on the number reported to the world.

The 50 cent Army 五毛党 is doing a bang up job in global social media feeds on the death of Dr Li trying hard to discredit him.

The PLA doctor whistleblown on SARS is still under house arrest.
