well that is pretty fucked up. i hope trump is right and that this will all go away in april when the weather gets warmer.
It happened to SARS but it no guarantee here. Scientists all thinks we got lucky with SARS. But if it's like H1N1 of 2009, it won't go away.

I'm headed to Vancouver Friday, first order of business is to lick door handles at Richmond restaurants.
Genius idea, your saliva should neutralize any germs and bacteria cause you don't want any of that getting on your hands. Don't forget the air vent nozzles and light buttons on the plane, they should be a tasty treat with all the assholes they've seen.

My work (american company) is now saying anyone who has been to a country with a lot of cases, Italy, South Korea, China, Iran must self quarantine for 2 weeks at home. I imagine the messaging will eventually change to anyone in contact with anyone that is sick must do this as well. For a large american company they have been having messaging on our company intranet for over a month now about it.

I traveled from Mexico last night back to Canada and the border guards were not wearing any masks, there was messaging on all the screens about admitting if you are sick or contacting a doctor if you develop symptoms. In Mexico it was like the virus didn't even exist - no one asked about it, I think I saw one sign at the airport about it on the way back.

Well, that's a blow to the previously pristine reputation of the Iranian government.

Let's not forget how hot it is the ME, so what's this bs about it going away when it's warmer...I think Trump just knows something we don't.

Don't worry guys. It is just a flu and will kill off old people who don't matter anyways.

Also all these cities being locked down around the world is just a prank. We let them know on Apr 1. Haha.

    https://nationalpost.com/news/world/...-canada-deaths

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Tuesday alerted Americans to begin preparing for the spread of coronavirus in the United States after the flu-like virus surfaced in several more countries.
CDC is starting to warn - over 6700 in isolation in California apparently. Not sure if thats travelers from china or whether there's been a bunch of exposure?

Canada just seems magically immune with just handfulls of cases

Still using the old style Sharp Plasmacluster air ionizer here. Tin foil hats say the ionized particles should attach themselves to bacteria and kill them off a lot quicker. As long as you can stand the ozone smell, its a good tradeoff.

I think market panic is more worrying

...but we’re in the early stages of emergency continuity planning at work, so that’s exciting. I for one welcome corona, work from home sounds great

What's better than working from home? Dying from home so I don't have to wait for both Glencoe and Westmount Charter to accept my applications.

That or it's indicative of what happens when you have extremely restrictive and limited tests available. It's a great plan until people start showing up in the ER dying.

Yeah, starting to hear rumblings at work. Now I'll have to spin up a few more remote access servers, buy more licenses, and handhold the morons who can't figure out how to work this stuff. Lovely.

Kind of spooky when the Centers of Disease Control makes a statement like this.
