I have to think that private businesses won't be putting in any kind of mandatory mask policy, that would put a pretty big dent in the customer count.

There is no vaccine for kids and vaccination rate of your hood is public data if you care enough. Everybody can make their own decision based on their experience of past 15 months now the hospitals ain't f'd. But this pandemic will generate way more germaphobes than ever.

According to my colleague, Balzac Costco masked up rate is still 70% on Sunday even if they followed the July 1st drop date.

I think the public recommendation is crowded places still mask recommended. It'll be a while yet before everyone ditches masks everywhere.

Just got back from Safeway myself and it was pretty mixed. Most workers and shoppers had masks but quite a few didn't. I'm more annoyed at people going the wrong way down the isles. ha ha

My local Safeway removed the arrows. Maskless and left to wander. God what a time to be alive.

Get double vaccinated, you still wear useless mask and go for a stroll where there's other people.

In confined places, I will still be rocking a mask. I have 2 kids under 12 and would want to mitigate their chances of getting it (if they haven't already). Plus, I've enjoyed not having a cold of any kind for the last 18 months.

Unless you're rocking a N95, you're doing it wrong. Cloth masks and the shitty disposable masks really stops others from spitting in your face. It barely stops aerosol from getting to you, so the protection is minimal. In a confined space with someone with covid who's not wearing a mask, you're still fucked unless you're wearing N95 or better. You need an N95 to accomplish what you want in confined spaces with others. You being double dosed and wearing a mask is to protect others if you're asymptomatic, which you still can be double dosed.

If you want to protect the kids, wear a mask around them.

This is 3rd hand, but my boss said that she has friends who were double vaxxed, sat on a patio and got the Delta variant. AHS traced it and said there was an outbreak on said patio.
