Anecdotal but over the past month been seeing a lot more people I know catch covid compared to earlier in the year. Some first timers and some re-infections. A lot however are really struggling with the after effects of fatigue even though all the flu-like symptoms fall off really quickly.

I went through that in February after it, took probably 6-8 weeks to actually feel 100% energy levels again without crashing hard by 6pm and barely making it through the day. Even though I'm vaccinated and not really in any significant risk I still sure as fuck don't want to get it again. Definitely wouldn't go visit family that's sick and just barely getting over it.

Your observation appears to be supported by wastewater data. We peaked in the last month with levels similar to early April '22. Which is about half as much as peak Omicron.

I have also noticed more people getting sick and testing positive with the home tests.

Why not just go instead of worrying? They won’t be infectious by the time you get there anyways. If you’re vaccinated and healthy, there’s no reason not to. That’s why there’s no isolation period anymore, getting it isn’t a big deal assuming you’re healthy and vaccinated.

We had a fair bit of highly suspicious sickness while on vacation but we didn't have any test kits with us. I tested when I got back and when I told MrsMightyVag that it was negative, she was like "Really¡!?!!"
I fuckin LoL'd so hard!

So I'm not sure... It sure seemed like several CoVid symptoms, but I think it just may have been a shitty flu that lagged.
I guess we can't tell, now. I'll phone the suicide hotline to enquire further.

I've been over it for ~2 weeks now I think, but still don't feel normal. Persistent cough and stuffy nose. Also lack of energy (e.g., walking 18 holes and carrying my bag used to be NBD, but I was absolutely drained by the 9th hole last time I played).
