It doesnt matter at this point, imho it will be a supply chain issue with people being told they have to stay isolated at home. I would prefer if we just let it wash over the population in a 2 week time frame than drag it out for months, I would rather get it earlier than later - I have holiday plans in 6 weeks time.
    that's what I mean.

are vaccinated people going to the hospital in larger numbers with omicron.
    Nope, they are not.

It also makes me wonder if the numbers coming from Pfizer are skewed to pressure governments to recommend/mandate booster shots knowing that they are sitting on a huge amount of stock/production that will be worth much less once omicron runs through the pop and everyone acquires natural immunity

Rich countries need to send any abundance of vaccines they have to poor ass countries to help prevent new mutations and variants so we don't have to deal with this variant wave shit on a regular basis

Is shortage of vaccines for third world countries really a problem?

Something like only 8% of the entire population of the African continent are vaccinated presently, that's like a billion people not vaccinated. Omi came from there, won't be surprised if other variants continue to spread from there down the road.

It's not just lack of doses being the problem, but it is part of the problem there.

This virus will continue to mutate and circulate for the rest of human history and potentially beyond. That's not something that is in human control at this point.

Remove all restrictions, remove all requirements for isolation, open up travel everywhere, stop testing anyone who isn't hospitalized, boom, pandemic over.

But then how will they publicize daily case counts to take a mile when we give an inch?

The daily case counts is even more useless with omicron. Aside from driving fear.

"As of December 9, there have been 87 confirmed cases of omicron reported in seven Canadian jurisdictions. To date, all reported cases of omicron in Canada have been asymptomatic or mild."

One of my pet peeves in general is people self diagnosing themselves with this sickness or that sickness.

I don’t have a disease unless a medical doctor tells me I have it. Until that point I assume it’s allergies or something I ate.

When is this nation full of pussies going to tell the Gov't to fuck off and just stop complying? Never, the answer is never.

People in Ontario genuinely believe this is the apocalypse. It’s amazing

I had read that's where it was first detected, the original story also said it was taken there by some vaxxed europeans. Considering their low rates and other issues there, this version of the free range vaccine might end up being good.
